## What is Slope Hi?

Slope is a practical in-room tool for tuning subwoofers and speakers with your iPhone.
It generates a logarithmic test sweep, records the room response through the iPhone microphone, and analyzes the result to help you understand how your system behaves across the frequency range. Clear graphs and practical guidance make it easier to identify excessive peaks, dips, level mismatches, and possible crossover adjustments.
Choose the workflow that fits your setup:
• Measure your subwoofer on its own
• Measure your main speakers on their own
• Run a guided subwoofer + speakers session
• Compare measurements from different sessions
Slope guides you through the preparation process, checks the measurement conditions, monitors the sweep, and presents the result in an easy-to-read response graph. In guided sessions, it helps you compare the relative level of the subwoofer and speakers and understand where further adjustment may be useful.
Save measurements in your library, review them later, rename them, compare results, and export detailed PDF reports. Your saved measurements can also be kept synchronized through iCloud when enabled.

Slope is designed for practical home audio adjustment, not laboratory testing. The iPhone microphone is not calibrated, so measurements are relative rather than absolute. Results should be interpreted as guidance for a consistent setup and listening position; they do not provide calibrated SPL values, phase analysis, or a prediction of the final acoustic sum of separately measured subwoofer and speaker responses.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-15

- Fixed a crash on iPad when returning to Measure after viewing measurement results.
- Improved handling of damaged measurement documents in the Library.
- Detected an AirPlay connection upfront: measurements no longer run to a false "signal too low" result, the app now warns immediately that a wired or Bluetooth connection is needed.

Thanks for using Slope!
