Would also be nice to have an option to support multiple camera groups rather than one long swipe-able list. ### 3/5 — Works but lacking *2015-10-08* This app functions, including the iOS/OSX link and has proved reliable. There is no obvious way to add a username/password combination for cams that are protected. This is a serious omission for those that want to access their home security cams. No response from the author, despite comments in iTunes. Fortunately a bodged workaround is possible. I found the OSX version a bit buggy, so buyers of the iOS version needing this feature, beware. ### 4/5 — Neat *2013-10-20* Very nice, please add more cams in the pre-loaded list! ### 4/5 — Nice, simple, does what it should. Cloud sync is great. *2013-09-21* My only complaint is that for some reason it doesn't allow for pinch to zoom on the images, which is necessary for some webcam uses (like being able to read a windsock on an airfield cam or warning lights on machinery). I can't see any reason for this app not to allow you to be able to zoom into the webcam image. Really wishing for an update with that feature. Other than that it's really cool. ### 4/5 — AirPlay does work. *2012-03-22* I just received the instructions for AirPlay from the author Jackson Myers and the work perfectly. Here they are: Just double tap the home button and slide your applications tray to the right and you'll see the AirPlay button (iPad). On iPhone you have to side it to the right twice before you see the button. It sounds like this is just screen mirroring but once the app detects that this is turned on, it'll start beaming full sized images to your tv rather than just mirroring your screen. ### 3/5 — Cloud support *2012-01-02* I don't use the cloud so this does not seem to do much for me. I do like this app and wish there was a way for users to share links. It is quite hard for me to find links that work with the app. I did find the video on how to add links to be very useful. I did not know how to copy and paste on my ipad. Changing my rating from 3 to 4 as a result. ### 3/5 — Disappointed in format support. *2011-09-26* One of my favorite "cams" to add to such apps is an animated (looped) weather map for my region. Unfortunately most of those available use an animated .gif format. Cody ### 5/5 — Great *2011-03-07, version 1.56* This is the perfect webcam app for those who have their own favorite camera links. ### 5/5 — Excellent webcam viewer! *2011-02-24* SlothCam is an excellent webcam viewer. I use it to quickly access selected traffic cams. The app is easy to use, but setting it up takes some work. The dev provides a free dashboard widget for OS X that I used to test that I had the correct webcam addresses. Once I had all my webcams loaded into the widget on my Mac, I used the dev's Migration Assistant to easily transfer the webcams to my iPhone. The most challenging aspect of the setup process is finding the correct URL for a webcam. What I ended up doing was to navigate to the webcam in Safari on my Mac. I then selected View Source (Cmd-Opt-U), and searched for a string ending in ".jpg." If the string began with "http" then it was the webcam URL. I then pasted it into the SlothCam dashboard widget to make sure it worked. ### 5/5 — SlothCam ROCKS! *2011-02-08* Awesome app to monitor street cams, city cams, etc.! A user below commented on not being able to, but that's because you need to know the URL for the image of the webcam, not just where the webcam is. I had this issue, so I emailed the developer, and he got back to me within a day or so. Problem solved! The cams included are mostly of the Houston area, but it's easy enough to add cams from across the globe. Schon mal sehr umständlich weil man kein Linksknick machen kann mit dem iPad um die adresse des Bildes kopieren zu können. There is no search by location within the app. ### 2/5 — Slothcam for iOS 4.2 *2011-01-01* I guess this would be pretty great if you already had an excellent source of webcam url's in the supported .jpg format. Otherwise you are stuck with just the ones offered with the app - about 9 of them, and I hope you are interested in the Galveston area. You should check out ImageTracker which is the more modern incarnation of SlothCam. Most of the functionality is via widgets - ie you can make stacks of widgets on your Home Screen with content from webcams instead of adding them to a list inside an app. I will try to fix the contact info but until then you can reach me via ImageTracker or the Catspaw System website. ### 5/5 — Great app *2017-03-02* This app lets me view all of my JPEG based webcams in one place. It helps me keep an eye on traffic and surf conditions. The default webcams are nothing special but adding your own webcams really makes this app useful. ### 5/5 — Easy *2015-12-06* I like this for viewing road condition cams that on a website you need to click different links for each camera. With Slothcam once you have some cameras loaded all you need to do is swipe between them. Also excellent support. I needed help because I did not know when you copy a webcam image you also copy the URL and that is what you paste in Slothcam to get the webcam online. It works well and looks good, despite the ridiculous name. ### 5/5 — Very Good! *2015-08-07* I've been using this app across iDevices and the Mac widget for a few years and it's very easy to use and has an export/import feature which is useful. I had a minor issue with a URL today and the author replied back with support and fix within 30 minutes. I recommend this app if you have favourite webcam urls you visit. Es soll nur Webcams anzeigen, die ich dem Programm auch vorgegeben habe. Genau das tut das Programm. URL der Webcams eingeben, sowie die Aktualisierungsrate und schon kann es losgehen, sogar als Slideshow. Webcams können per Mail oder Cloud Importiert/Exportiert werden.
