The SlowAF run club app is a great resource for back of the pack runners as well as slower runners. This app provides an online community of people from around the world who are warm and accepting of runners at all levels. I like that the app is filled with topics including information on learning to run, inspirational quotes, race recaps, and opportunities for members local near each other to meet up. The SlowAF run club creator is very active and is very responsive to suggestions from community members. I can’t recommend this app enough for those who are back of the pack runners or slower runners who are looking for support from a community of like minded people.

I downloaded this yesterday and my membership was approved however every time I click on “view list” to see the get started check list, the app shuts down. In the last 7 minutes it’s shut down about 10 times. It’s very frustrating to use

Martinus has created and sustained a gem amongst all the clubs I've ever witnessed or have been a part of. Slow AF is inclusive, supportive, uplifting, motivating and unceasingly positive.

This app was started by Martinus Evans, who wrote his book with the same name about his marathon training journey to guide others at the “back of the pack”. The club is for people who love running but can’t run fast or don’t want to worry about running fast. It’s a safe space to do what you do, whether it’s celebrating running a mile without stopping or running 100km race in 24 hours.

This app helps keep your running training and races in perspective with multiple ways to stay motivated and it also gently pushes you along to continue to improve. Lots of positivity for the beginning runner through advanced runners.  The message is always that anyone can run if they want to regardless of age or weight.  It has helped me to become a more joyful runner!

Very supportive people, you have some people who run a 6 minute mile and some of us do a 30 minute mile. All the love is here and they’re supportive AF. Do yourself a favor, download this app and join us.
