### 4/5 — Worth it!

*2019-01-28, version 5.2.1*

This is only the second app I've been compelled to note on--get it!

### 5/5 — A great learning tool

*2019-01-03, version 5.2.1*

This is a go to app for learning any part of a song for any instrument
The phrasing part is great. It enables the user to pick out any part of a song and slow it down with a loop. This is what We needed 20 years ago. But. Now that it’s here. I encourage people to use it!!

### 5/5 — Love this new version!

*2018-12-21, version 5.2.1*

Near perfection. I had a bit of trouble with ‘my favorites’ but I deleted them and re-added and it was all good. Such a talented engineer. Thanks for keeping this app updated

### 5/5 — DO NOT HESITATE - BUY THIS APP

*2018-11-08, version 5.1.1*

This app is dead simple to use and it’s FREE! Tech Support is great — within 24 hrs you get a response. I’m a choreographer and I’d be lost without it. When you slow music down, it doesn’t make the music (or the vocal) sounds wonky. Genius!

### 4/5 — Learn New Music Easier

*2018-09-12, version 5.1.1*

Being able to slow down music has helped me in so many ways. I’m able to concentrate more on my reading skills and work through difficult rhythms. Great app for students.

### 5/5 — Loving it

*2018-07-05, version 5.0.2*

Use almost everyday. Easy to use. Sounds great with my headphones on

### 5/5 — Great

*2018-02-27, version 4.3*

Does exactly what it says it will. Allows you to slow down or
Speed up tempo as you play along.

### 5/5 — Fantastic 5 star

*2018-01-08, version 4.3*

Fantastic! I’ve used this app for a few years now — I couldn’t be more pleased. It does what it does very well, and is easy to use.
The ability to speed-up the song incrementally, while keeping the same pitch is great for learning the basic structure of new material.
Also, the jump function, allows you to rewind a few seconds of the recording — on the fly... very useful in practicing and perfecting certain difficult musical phrases.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2018-01-04, version 4.3*

Met my need to slow down a song perfectly! Works great!

### 4/5 — Thumbs up

*2017-12-09, version 4.2.2*

Not bad accurate but kinda wish I could save the songs after I make them

**Developer response:** Hi Funky_spoof

Many of the features we have implemented where originally suggested by a user like you. Can you send an email to info@SantaCruzIntegration.com with more information about how you think save should work

kind regards

Andy

### 4/5 — So cool

*2017-11-15, version 4.2.2*

I’ve been looking for an app like this that is so EZ to use and understand. I’m working on Hideaway by the “Bluesbreakers” that is next to impossible without this type of app. thanks.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wasted my money

*2021-02-02, version 5.2.1*

Maybe I’m technically challenged but I never got this to work. Every time I tried to add songs to my favorites I got error notifications. Never got it to work

### 1/5 — Bought the app and can’t use it

*2019-12-18, version 5.2.1*

I purchased the app and still can’t load more than 3 songs. I deleted one song and then I still can’t add a song.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2019-11-10, version 5.2.1*

This app makes you pay after the first 30 seconds that you are using it. Not cool because it takes so long to download songs, and when slowed down, they sound all broken up. Title says it all. DISSAPOINTED!

### 1/5 — Waste of time and money

*2018-12-14, version 5.1.1*

If it worked, it could be great. It doesn’t. Total crap.

### 2/5 — Great gone bad

*2019-11-01, version 5.2.1*

I’ve been eager to write a glowing review of this app, but the new version with the snazzy look is MUCH harder to use than the earlier version. What used to be a 5 star app is now down to 2. How do I return speed back to the 0% baseline speed with just 1 touch? How do I rewind a couple of seconds? How do I know what the present playback speed is? If I place my thumb over the speed slider it covers the speed % value so I can’t see it. I can’t figure out what the white “stop” button does or the white button (with circular arrow) to it’s right. The help files don’t apply to this version. The app got prettier but is way harder to use. I really hope the creator remedies these things in an update because I used to LOVE this app!

### 2/5 — Phrase Feature

*2019-01-20, version 5.2.1*

Cant believe i payed money for a half broken app . Im better off just setting up my laptop its way less hassle for learning a quick phrase

### 2/5 — Don't Buy. Waste of Money.

*2013-02-20, version 3.5.1*

This app has a terrible interface, it isn't optimized for the iPhone 5, it's glitchy as hell, and it just feels incomplete. I sadly bought the full version thinking that it would be my only option in slowing down music in the App Store but it isn't! The DJay app does this simply and the interface feels solid enough to use. The only thing I can say this has is a semitones feature and even THAT is worthless at times. The reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because beside all of its terrible looks and feel it still manages to get the job done. Sometimes.

### 3/5 — It stopped playing my music

*2023-03-08*

Having used it for months, it suddenly stopped playing. Reloaded but same problem. What have you done to your wonderful app?please fix it ASAP.

### 3/5 — It does it’s job for the most part most of the time

*2022-03-09, version 5.2.1*

After using the free version for a few years, I bought the full version hoping it’d be less glitchy & because I needed to add more songs to my library. Although I love that I’m able to have all 15 of my recital songs in my library, it took a very long time to upload the songs. Also, I would gladly pay a few more dollars for the ability to organize my library, edit the order of my songs, as well as have the option to load whole playlists/albums rather than each song 1 at a time. It’s rather frustrating the amount of times the app decides it’s done & closes as I try to restart a song or go to a particular part of the song. I’d love to be able to load my ballet music into the library so I could quickly adjust the music when necessary. However, the process of adding the music to my library & it having no organizational options makes it an unnecessarily long process that creates a less than efficient list of songs that don’t play one after another.

### 4/5 — Good but bad.

*2020-09-28, version 5.2.1*

Great app and easy to use but I wish I could slow a song down and then download it back to my library. That’s what I thought it was.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2021-11-18, version 5.2.1*

Great Tone

### 5/5 — So simple.

*2021-02-10, version 5.2.1*

So simple! Does what it says! What a concept, right?? Ok

### 5/5 — I never learned how to read music...yet this app...

*2020-03-01, version 5.2.1*

This app truly enables any one who has the drive and passion to learn and memorize complicated pieces. I have master several smooth jazz pieces by David Benoit and Russ Freeman if the Rippingtons.

### 5/5 — Does the job

*2019-09-16, version 5.2.1*

I use it for transcriptions and as I went to review the app I saw some screenshots from f wave forms which I’ve never seen in the app so I guess I need to explore it more. Anyway really useful!

### 5/5 — The best ever!

*2019-05-21, version 5.2.1*

This has helped me improve so much! I love this app!!

### 5/5 — My favorite music app

*2019-05-01, version 5.2.1*

I use it just about every day

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2019-04-27, version 5.2.1*

I used to learn guitar licks by lifting the record player needle and repeating over and over or slowing the single 45 to 33. You young guys don’t know what I’m talking about. This app makes it so easy to figure out what Hendrix, Clapton, Page and Beck we’re doing all along. Next, I’m gonna tackle Eddie Van Halen.

### 5/5 — Finally, A Slow music player THAT WORKS!!!

*2019-03-21, version 5.2.1*

This app is simple and gets straight to the point. With a easy on the eyes UI, a user can effortlessly toggle between music speed, tone, and volume. This app allows up to three songs at a time to save on its playlist with the option of purchase to save as many songs on its playlist for $2.99. I brought it and it has been AWESOME AND EPIC!!!

### 5/5 — Love This App

*2019-03-05, version 5.2.1*

I can import any song I’m working on, and follow the practice adage of: play faster by practicing slower. Then gradually increase until I’m playing along at tempo. Great app.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2019-01-10, version 5.2.1*

I am a new drummer, and this app is a lifesaver. Works well. I upgraded so I can upload all the songs as I want.
