## What is Slow Soup?

Slow Soup is a beautiful, offline guide to Cantonese slow-boiled soups (老火湯) — the nourishing "old fire" soups simmered for hours in homes across Hong Kong and southern China.

Every recipe tells you two things other apps leave out: what the soup likely does for your body, and why generations have believed in it.

• LIKELY NUTRITION — an estimated per-serving breakdown (calories, protein, fat, carbs, fibre, sodium) for every soup.

• THE BELIEF — the cultural and medicinal meaning, shown both in Traditional Chinese Medicine terms (warming or cooling nature, "clears heat," "nourishes qi," best season, who it suits) AND in plain everyday language. No jargon left unexplained.
