Le suivi des succès (succès/achievements) : On ne voit absolument pas sa progression. Par exemple, pour "Envoyer 100 lettres", combien en a-t-on envoyées pour l'instant ? Ou pour "Collectionner les timbres du zodiaque", ce ne serait vraiment pas compliqué d'indiquer qu'on en a, par exemple, déjà 3 sur 12. 2. L'absence de traducteur intégré : À l'ère de l'IA, la traduction est intégrée partout. Ce serait tellement plus pratique ! À cause de ça, beaucoup de gens passent à côté de nombreuses lettres. Ceux qui veulent traduire eux-mêmes le feront, mais pour les autres, un bouton "Traduire" serait une vraie aide. 3. Nous continuerons à améliorer Slowly et à étudier ces idées pour offrir une expérience toujours meilleure. ### 4/5 — Great idea *2026-08-06* Awesome concept, I suppose it would be nice if the letters had P2P encryption since they end up being quite personal, and a small quality of life improvement would be if we could see the last letter from someone while we write the reply, kinda like an email application works, this way we could be sure no subject ended up unanswered. **Developer response:** Thank you for your thoughtful review and suggestions! End to end encryption would significantly limit our ability to investigate reported letters involving scams, spam, and other abuse, which is why we don't currently support it. That said, protecting user privacy and data security remains one of our highest priorities, and we'll continue improving both. As for replying to letters, you can already view the letter you're replying to on the same screen. Simply tap the Pin icon at the top of your draft to pin the original letter, and you can also choose which letter to pin. Thank you again for your feedback. Most other pen pal type of apps are so vague with the profile section that you generally read someone's profile and still feel like you know nothing about them. On slowly I genuinely feel like I can read someone's profile and be able to tell whether we would get along. The ONLY requests I have is that there are more ways to earn coins in game, otherwise it's basically impossibleeee to collect stamps, and i would really appreciate if we could rename our friends with nicknames. most people's usernames aren't their actual names so when i see them in my friends list i unconsciously recognise them by their user, but i feel like it kind of separates me from feeling like we're friends because it acts as a barrier to me calling them by their actual name in my head. If you download this app, get ready to walk through a 17 step onboarding flow, have a predatory In-App Purchase scheme shoved down your throat, and get about a million notifications as soon as you close the app. ### 1/5 — A Platform Built on Fear and Over-Censorship *2026-05-24, version 9.4.1* SLOWLY's moderation policies are a huge letdown. They used to market the platform as a place for authentic, slow-paced connections, but now it's just a mess of heavy-handed censorship. The community guidelines are so vague that they effectively stifle any meaningful or nuanced discourse. I've seen it happen to others and even experienced it myself - they shut down content that doesn't fit their narrow view of what's okay. It's like they want to make the platform super sterile, essentially turning a "pen pal" app into a place where you're constantly walking on eggshells, worried that a single word or controversial topic might trigger an automated ban or a shadow-restriction. Instead of letting people have real conversations, they're more concerned with avoiding any controversy. This approach is damaging to the concept of pen-palling, which is about sharing thoughts and experiences with others. This approach hurts free speech and has a profound impact on the platform's users. By only allowing "safe" talk, they're killing what makes pen-palling worthwhile: sharing different views, discussing real issues, and being yourself without fear of corporate retribution. When a platform cares more about its own comfort than its users' right to express themselves, it's not a tool for connection, it's a tool for control. It's disheartening to see a platform that claims to bring people together actually narrowing our views by policing our thoughts and words. It's sad to see a platform that claims to bring people together actually doing the opposite. If you want honest, unfiltered conversations, look elsewhere. SLOWLY isn't the place for it anymore. I wouldn't recommend an app that treats users like they're a problem, rather than people who deserve to express themselves freely. Das ist bei Slowly ganz anders. Dass die Briefe erst „zugestellt“ werden müssen, was je nach Ziel auch mal über zwei Tage dauern kann, finde ich eine schöne Idee, die die Kommunikation noch besonderer macht. Natürlich besteht auch bei Slowly das Risiko, dass man geghosted wird, aber ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Nutzer*innen dort mehr Wert auf den Schriftverkehr legen als es in anderen Apps der Fall ist.
