Not working on these anymore. :( ### 4/5 — Great Photo app *2020-02-07* Yes a great photo app on my iPhone 8 but could do with some instructions - I’ve not been able to find a way of deleting photos that appear stored in the app - those that are modified are of course stored in Photos. I’ve now got to a stage where I cannot load any new files - it’s as though it’s directory has a limited capacity. ### 4/5 — Not bad but found one major bug *2019-10-18, version 1.2.3* Had this since day one and overall it’s good but I’ve been using Focos for its advanced options. On iOS 13 with iPhone 11 Pro the photo browser won’t load the image I select when full screen forcing me to use the mini browser to find the image which takes much more work. ### 3/5 — I don’t understand *2018-10-31, version 1.2.1* It seems to me that this app may have have been useful for previous iPhones but with the new adjustable aperture functions in the new iPhones, on my max it kind of seems pointless. ### 3/5 — Only half way there *2018-10-03* The aperture adjustment effect works well enough, as well as the placement of the focus point. It seems to do a good job of separating complex shapes, such as plants & flowers, from the background. But you can’t adjust the depth in the foreground as well as the background. It’s one or the other. Sometimes there are glitches in the depth map so that pieces of the background get attached to the foreground, even though they are quite far apart distance-wise, and there’s no way to fix it. What it is lacking is separate exposure adjustment for the background and foreground. I almost always want to darken the background relative to the foreground. Even though I worked on over 20 photos I never felt they got to the point they were finished enough to save them. Background vignette would also be useful. ### 2/5 — Clever idea but expensive for 4 options *2018-06-20* I expected a lot more considering the cost. You get four customisable options. I was really hoping that I would be able to define the edges within area of focus. Perhaps change the colour of tint of the focus. But sadly not. The developer has been extremely good at responding to the reviews, which I am grateful for but as I explain, you cannot define which areas are foreground and which items are background, although you can select between the already-defined areas at the time of the photo. So for example, if my iPhone decides that the trees behind my bald head are a part of my head, it isn't possible to change exactly where the cutoff point is on the aperture control. **Developer response:** You can change the focus area by tapping image when the 'Aperture' button is selected. ### 3/5 — Where is the blacked-out background setting? *2018-06-06* I’ve been happy with the blurring controls so far but I’m missing the darkening setting that would produce a blacked-out background. (Unless I missed something) Takes up a lot of memory and is annoying. Worse, it fails silently — as in, it appears to have succeeded, but in fact didn’t. Do not buy until updated! ### 1/5 — Doesn't work with ios 15 *2022-08-17, version 1.2.3* Doesn't work with ios 15 ### 1/5 — Saved pictures don't retain depth of field *2022-02-07* Whenever I edit a photo using Slor and then save it, the photo shows to be unedited with all depth of field removed, essentially ruining the photo. Shame because it used to work so well. ### 1/5 — Bugs? *2021-01-06* Edits won’t save. They just save as unedited photo. Worse still, the attempt at saving edits as an adjustment to the original photo makes the photo lose its portrait-mode editability in iOS Photos app. Plz fix. ### 1/5 — Can no longer save/export photos *2020-02-08, version 1.2.3* It was an amazing app, then an update changed the UI and I can no longer figure out how to save/export photos. It said it “this app is compatible with my iphone.” So I bought it and found out it requires the twin camera to work. So iPhone 7plus or 8 up. If I knew this, I wouldn’t have purchased it. Sadly not true. A later notice tell you that it has a ‘fallback’ mode for all but iphone7 and later. The ‘fallback’ is near zero functionality. A waste of money and disappointing that the developers haven’t been more up front about this. Thank you for your response, developer! You told me something I wasn’t aware of. This app is so good Apple decided to implement this functionality in iOS 12 and the latest iPhone XS. For those with older devices with a dual camera setup it’s a must have. **Developer response:** Depth data is not removed when modifying. You can always use ‘Revert’ in the iOS Photos app to undo any changes made by Slør. ### 5/5 — Great app but a tutorial would be nice *2017-11-20* Is a great app! The current ios for iPhone X, I feel isn’t that smart yet. Pls, Apple, do something about this. So far, this app allows a human touch on images taken on Portrait mode. However, it took me sometime to figure out what each button meant. A tutorial would be useful! ### 5/5 — Functionality of the note 8 *2017-11-14* Ability to select focal point and aperture on portrait photos were a revelation! Apple just has to limit that sort of control. Thanks for making this app. Next best feature would be to have the ability to fix depth maps via touch painting or on the iPad with Apple Pencil pressure sensitivity. Support this developer.
