## What is Slumlord?

Nobody said being a landlord was glamorous. The toilets clog, the elevator jams, raccoons raid the dumpster, and somebody just tagged your lobby wall. Welcome to Slumlord - Apartment Tycoon — the building management sim where every floor tells a story.

START SMALL, THINK TALL
Take over a rundown apartment building and turn it into the pride of the block. Add floors, install amenities, and expand to new regions — each with its own vibe, tenants, and trouble.

TENANTS WITH PERSONALITY
Every resident has their own look, schedule, and attitude. Friendly neighbors chat in the halls, grumps slam doors, night owls blast music at 2 AM. Keep them happy and they'll sign leases, refer friends, and pay rent on time. Ignore them and watch the move-out boxes pile up.

FIX IT OR LOSE IT
Leaks, roaches, busted fridges, jammed elevators — things break, and your maintenance crew walks to every job. Hire more workers, fund repairs fast, and watch them ride the elevator (or storm the stairs) to save the day.

A LIVING, BREATHING BLOCK
Day turns to night, seasons change, rain sends everyone reaching for umbrellas. Food trucks ask to park out front, film crews wave location fees, stray cats want adopting, and the sanitation truck rolls up when the dumpster overflows. Tap troublemakers to chase off vandals, thieves, and the occasional UFO.

BUILD YOUR EMPIRE
- Upgrade units, buy amenities: laundry, gym, pool, tennis court, roof garden
- Balance rent against reputation — gouge too hard and word gets around
