## What is Smart Actuator?

The SAUTER SmartActuator app gives you full access to all the functions of the SAUTER Smart Actuator product range, consisting of damper drives and valve actuators.
The connection to the Smart Actuator is made locally via Bluetooth LE or via remote access as soon as the Smart Actuator is connected to the SAUTER Cloud. The connection to the SAUTER Cloud requires a WiFi network with an internet connection.
The Smart Actuator app has been developed for commissioning and service and provides the following functions:
•	Smart Actuator Configuration
•	Selecting, loading and configuring control technology applications.
•	Display of live values
•	Backup - restore of device data
•	Creation of sample templates for easy commissioning in larger projects
•	Creating and managing your own account for remote access to the Smart Actuator
•	Organise Smart Actuator's in projects and configure them for remote access via the SAUTR Cloud
•	Connecting the Smart Actuator to the SAUTER Cloud
•	Firmware update via the cloud
•	Remote access to all actuator and application parameters
•	Access to SAUTER App-Store and Smart Actuator applications

### 3.3.1 — 2026-07-15

In addition to stability improvements and bug fixes, this update includes usability enhancements and the following new features.
•	Reading of BACnet data points has been optimised
•	New language support for applications: IT, NL, ES, PT, SV, DA, FI, PL
•	The approval process for applications distributed via the SAUTER Application Store has been expanded to include the application status “Revoked”.

### 3.2.2 — 2026-05-13

In addition to stability improvements and bug fixes, this update includes usability enhancements and the following new features.
•	The Live View section has been completely redesigned for improved usability.
•	New feature for sorting parameter groups and application parameters in the application programs during creation.
•	The approval process for applications distributed via the SAUTER Application Store has been expanded to include the “Test” application status.
•	Time zone settings

### 3.1.3 — 2026-01-27

In addition to stability improvements and bug fixes, this update includes improvements in usability. We have also added new functions and optimised existing ones.

· Support for BACnet IP Smart Actuator including new network wizard
· Comprehensive interface information for support and documentation
· New devices can be searched for and connected in projects without leaving the project.
· The "Search for devices" area now displays all devices that can be accessed locally (Bluetooth LE) or remotely (SAUTER Cloud).
· In the smartphone app, settings in the time programme are updated (refresh function activated) when they are changed from another BACnet client.
· The current system time is now also available via the SAUTER Cloud.

In addition to stability improvements and bug fixes, this update contains improvements in operation. Furthermore, we have again taken care of new functions and optimisations to existing functions.
•	A sample application can now be viewed in the demo device.
•	Devices placed in projects can be removed from the project again
•	The reading of time programmes has been greatly accelerated
•	The actuating power setting for the AVM115 valve actuator can be changed via the app.
