Deinstallation und Neuinstallation, danach einmalige Kopplung der Leuchte möglich, aber keine Funktion. App geschlossen und neu gestartet, dann wieder weisser Bildschirm. Also vollkommen nutzlos. Hoffe auf das nächste Update, ansonsten teurer Elektroschrott. ### 1/5 — Just plain bad *2023-09-30, version 4.8.1* I have tried to be supportive of this company and its purported green, app-controlled tech. I have purchased multiple replacement bulbs. The bluetooth fails. The switches fail. The batteries fail and won’t recharge. I have owned Smart and Green tech for 3 years, believing they’d fix the various problems…but NOPE. Same lousy app lacking all information that won’t connect to the bulbs. Same, short-lived devices. Don’t bother. Expensive, lousy tech. There are so many better options out there now. Try ANY of them and you are likely to have a better outcome. ### 1/5 — Awful app *2023-09-03, version 4.8.1* The app doesn't work; I connected my devices last year to float in my pool, and now, when I go back to light them up again, they don't even show up on the app. And I've tried using Bluetooth to connect them and it doesn't work. Bought a lamp from Design Within Reach; the fact that you HAVE to use the app for full product functionality wasn’t fully elucidated. The app never connects to the product, I’ve deleted & downloaded & reset multiple times. Essentially I paid for a product that does not function as promised because of the incredibly poor design of this app. ### 1/5 — Strange app *2022-10-10, version 4.8.1* The makers of this software really don’t understand user interface design. - “let’s write our own slider “ switch that behaves completely differently than the native iOS one. (Very easy to slide and delete a device almost) - for users of multiple devices, it’s hard to understand which one is which and the labeling is not easy to get right. - the ui doesn’t actually show current state of the device- it shows the state you told the device to go to. So if multiple users are using the app on their phones, one might show it on, and another off - the app doesn’t show battery level of my lights, although it says it is able to do so. Hard to know when to charge the lights. ### 1/5 — Don’t Waste Your Money *2022-06-15, version 4.8.1* Forget trying to make this app work one of Smartandgreen’s devices. Tried for days to get Bluetooth recognized. Cost me 30% restocking fee to return the tower light. These lights are expensive and the software is impossible-and I’m pretty tech savvy. ### 1/5 — Cannot Get Connectivity *2022-03-18* I bought a single lamp just for ambience not necessarily to mesh other lamps. I moved so it was shut down and backed in a box inside my home for a few months. Now? Completely useless. This was a very expensive lamp for my budget - the owners and/or manufacturers, investors - I don’t care who need to do something about this app and stat. Let down, disappointed and out $200+ for what? Nothing. Please fix! ### 1/5 — Do Not Purchase! *2022-03-14, version 4.8.1* I have 3 of the 14” Balls and 1 of the 10” Pearls…and Oh Boy! Total PAIN to get these to show up in the app, have had to delete a few that synced due to bulb failure. They sent a replacement bulb and it’s actually the software that doesn’t work. Painful to try and get these to sync, even AFTER deleting + re-installing the Smart + Green app. For spending almost $1K, the product is a JOKE. I should have spent the extra money on the Vondom Bubble lamp, these are a TOTAL waste of money and DON’T work!!! ### 1/5 — Pretty bad *2022-02-14, version 4.8.1* The scheduler doesn’t work. So if you want to use your lights you have to open the app and turn them on each time. It’s sad because the lights themselves look nice but the app is just awful. ### 1/5 — Really bad functionality *2022-01-23, version 4.8.1* App freezes and has to be constantly quit and restarted. Makes me wish I had not bought these light balls. For a lot of money. Then nothing. We deleted the app, reconnected the light. Nothing. If we manage to turn it on manually, it is impossible to turn off. What gives? This lamp was extremely expensive for a device that works so poorly. This app is useless and so is any product purchased with the Smart and Green technology. I’m returning it and warning others to stay away from any product that has to use this app to function. ### 1/5 — Beautiful products ruined by awful software *2024-04-29* The Smart & Green lights are wonderful. First saw them in The Maldives at our resort. But this app is atrocious. Not properly built for iOS, elements not labelled properly, buggy Bluetooth syncing and control that loses connectivity and has no steps for resolution. I’ve contacted their Customer Service twice, regarding order matters, and they were quite indifferent. Highly doubt any care or notice will be taken on these reviews. Very disappointed. These lights aren’t cheap and the software needs to be up to standard. ### 1/5 — Keine Funktion nach Update *2024-03-13* Update März 2024: Seit November keine Besserung. App funktioniert auf dem iPad gar nicht mehr, auf dem iPhone nur eingeschränkt. Hier lassen sich die Lampen wenigstens programmieren, leider schalten sie nur ein und dann nicht mehr aus gemäss Programmierung. Support schickt auch jedes Mal neue Fragen und leider keine Lösungen. Now it won’t connect. Drops bulbs. The app is very fickle. No support from company. When they work they are great. So reset everything several times and still no go. When it manages to sync (rarerLy) it still can’t control anything. Quite frustrating. Of course I’m only 5 minutes into this journey but if it changes I’ll update my review ha. I’m able to easily change color/brightness/blink, etc. ### 5/5 — Ist ok *2019-11-17* Wenn man die Lampe per Bluetooth verbunden bekommt (klappt nicht immer beim ersten mal), dann funktioniert es prima (habe iPhone 11pro) ### 4/5 — Not as bad as reviews say *2025-06-12, version 4.9.0* As of purchase in June 2025, lights work fine and so does the app. One of my lights wouldn’t connect to Bluetooth, so I had to reset it like instructions say to. It connected fine after that. If app ends up failing, like many reviews indicate, the buttons on the lights work fine also. This is not a premium product, but it’s not a 1 star unusable product either. (That could change over time). ### 4/5 — unclear instructions *2021-06-02, version 4.7.0* I had to look up how to pair it on YouTube because it wasn’t included on the manual that came in the box. You have to hold down the lightbulb button for 5+ seconds before pairing. I almost returned my lamp because the instructions were so unclear. My device loses connectivity to the lamps (2) over a couple of hours forcing me to reset both lamps every time I want to use them. I use a ‘dedicated’ iPad since the earlier app also had unreliable connectivity with the lamps. By using a dedicated device with Bluetooth always on and in the same room I had reliability until this upgrade. Cool lamps but connectivity / reliability and the reset process is awful.
