### 4/5 — Good, just wish it had a light

*2026-01-31, version 3.2.10*

I've been using the Smart asthma device and app for a couple of weeks now. I had no problems at all connecting the Bluetooth convertor with my phone and it's been reliably picking it up every time I use it.

It's a significant improvement from manually recording my readings in a spreadsheet and the ability to download my data is great.

The device itself is fine, the mouthpiece is very big and took a while to get used to.

Technique is everything. I've found I always have to use my iPhone torch to take the reading, conviniently, the app will turn this on and off for you automatically which does help. If I get the technique right, it registers every blow first time but it took me some practice to get to this point and I have to put my hand and devices in a very specific position for this to work.

The device seems more accurate than my old mechanical peak flow meter.

Overall I'm very happy.

Suggestions for improvement :
- the biggest one is a light built in so I don't have to balance my phone on the device awkwardly every time. This would make a huge difference!

- I would like the option to record different types of symptoms, breathlessness when talking / chest pain / fatigue so I can better see what's happening for me. It doesn't necessarily need to appear on the main chat though.

- i'd also like somewhere to record steroid tablet courses so I can keep track of how frequently I'm having to have them and how quickly I recover after them.

### 4/5 — Good Product

*2025-06-05, version 3.2.8*

It’s a good app and product with a lot of potential. But can be a bit temperamental.
There are a couple of bugs that really need fixing. Overall good!

### 4/5 — Update for USB-C needed

*2024-07-06, version 3.1.2*

After switching to a USB-C port iPhone, the application stopped seeing the device. Everything used to work properly when lightning adapter was used for the previous iPhone.

### 4/5 — Problems with registration

*2022-08-08, version 2.10.2*

Hi guys, Have purchased pick flow device but application doesn’t registrate me. Can you help?

### 3/5 — Okay

*2022-03-11, version 2.10.1*

Leider fehlt mir die Funktion, Tage zu bearbeiten! Wenn man vergessen hat, einen Wert einzutragen, kann man das leider nicht nachträglich tun! So können Lücken entstehen! Bin daher ist die App für mich nicht nutzbar!

### 5/5 — Excellent device

*2021-11-22, version 2.7.0*

My smart Asthma device is an excellent piece of kit for keeping on top my peak flows and helping to keep my asthma under control.

### 5/5 — Happy

*2021-11-13, version 2.6.2*

Been using this for a little while now. Easy to use easy to get results

### 4/5 — Great app and device

*2021-11-08, version 2.6.1*

This has been great to keep track of my asthma so I can predict whether I’m going to have a good or bad day. And whether my medication is working. Sometimes the device takes ages to connect to the app. Or the app says its not connected when it is.

### 4/5 — Smart peak Flow

*2021-11-03, version 2.6.1*

Easy to use and great to be able to monitor my asthma so easily

### 3/5 — Not child friendly

*2021-11-01, version 2.6.0*

Putting it together was quite easy but trying to like it with Bluetooth was extremely difficult. The clear mouthpiece is toughened plastic so has absolutely no give for use by children and some adults. The idea behind it is fantastic. Small enough for in your bag or possibly (because of the mouthpiece) your pocket.

### 5/5 — Smart Asthma

*2021-10-29, version 2.6.0*

Really good little device, really easy to install and use but does not like LED lights.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-08-31, version 3.2.9*

This unit fails to read with enough light. Impossible to use with severe Asthma. Easily do best of three with a traditional plastic peek glow and write down the levels. With this unit it’s turned off 5 times, recorded one reading failed on 7 goes. This is make my breathing WORSE. Needs reporting. Not fit for purpose

### 1/5 — Can’t start an account with app

*2025-04-24, version 3.2.6*

I tried setting up my account and it says it sent a verification email but the email never arrives. If you try to set up the account again, it says this email is already in use. I tried a different email but the verification email didn’t come for that either.Hoping i can change my review once I get some help .

### 1/5 — Невозможно зарегистрироваться

*2024-10-10, version 3.1.6*

Невозможно зарегистрироваться. Постоянно не проходит пароль по требованиям. И не приходит подтверждение на почту.

### 1/5 — App startet nicht iOS 17.4.1

*2024-04-04, version 3.1.0*

Beim Login stürzt die App direkt ab -> gelöscht

### 1/5 — Device is utter shi

*2023-12-05, version 3.0.3*

Lasted 53 days before literally falling apart; shoddy, shoddy, shoddy.
Now in the bin where it’s best suited.

### 1/5 — Great app when it works.

*2023-08-29, version 3.0.2*

This used to be good as stated in previous reviews but just recently I have it many issues. I have contacted customer support on many occasions but have not even had a response from them. The latest is that I have a message displayed when I try to use the app saying I need to renew my subscription but the current one is still active. At least 6 to 9 left. When I select the renew option nothing happens. I have had to delete the app and start again. The consequence is I have now lost all my previous data and the smart rescue device will not sync to it. It says it’s being used by another account . Will someone please contact me asap.

### 1/5 — Black screen while using app

*2023-08-22, version 3.0.2*

Black screen while using app

### 1/5 — Software

*2023-07-30, version 3.0.2*

I have been intermittently using the smart peak flow meter since 2019 and found it to be easy to use.
The purchase of the BT module made the unit very much easier to use, so started using it more frequently.
However, the recent software ‘upgrade’ has rendered the flow meter useless without recreating/opening an account.
I have no wish to have my data collected or stored any where else than other than on my device.

### 1/5 — Fatalne

*2023-05-14, version 2.11.1*

Kasa w błoto. Niemożliwe używać bez dostępu do słońca.

### 1/5 — Funktioniert überhaupt nicht

*2020-01-12, version 1.9.0*

### 5/5 — Great device

*2024-02-12, version 3.1.0*

I bought this device as my nhs peak flow meter was awful and I knew the readings weren’t accurate by any means and it looked like it might be worth a go.
Firstly - the Bluetooth bit I really struggled to use as I also have other devices Bluetoothed to my phone - watch, hearing aids and they needed to be disconnected before I could use it.
Once I got a headphone jack for my iPhone 15, this was a game changer, just a quick switch off Bluetooth for the puffs and away you go.
It’s simple and easy to use, and it links with Apple Health as well, so all my asthma info in one place.
I would highly recommend it, indeed I’m going to try the rescue adapter now as I have no idea how much is left in mine.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2024-02-12, version 3.1.0*

Having recently been diagnosed with asthma this device helps me track my peak flow and helps me understand my asthma

### 5/5 — Excellent

### 5/5 — Great app to monitor my asthma

*2023-10-11, version 3.0.2*

I have the basic free plan and use this to track my peak flow readings. You can see you daily and weekly scores and it tracks against your personal best. Have been using a regular peak flow device and been typing it in.
I found it good when I went to the asthma nurse to sure my progress or lack of over several days.

### 5/5 — Best App on my iPhone

*2023-05-31, version 3.0.0*

It’s the best App I’ve downloaded to help me keep track of my newly discovered Asthma. Easy to navigate through, and to keep it updated with the peak flow readings. Also has a lot of info to help you understand more about Asthma especially if you are new to this whizzy life.

### 5/5 — DONT SKIP!

*2023-01-28, version 2.11.1*

This is THE BEST APP to track asthma. I had random attacks during the week and this has really made a difference in me, I 100% recommend to all asthmatics, I hope you all are managing your health!

### 5/5 — Great app for asthmatics

*2023-01-14, version 2.11.1*

I find this app is very helpful in managing my asthma and recording my peak flow daily. It is helpful to be able to monitor how bad my asthma is each day and how often I use my reliever inhaler. But I really wish that it would record my preventer inhaler compliance. Other than that a great app. Would recommend

### 5/5 — Rob jones

*2022-09-14, version 2.10.2*

It’s ace works well love it

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2021-12-02, version 2.7.0*

and does away with need for paper charts which in general are not used. ‘To measure is to know ‘
