There’s nothing like this on the AppStore that is simple in function but effective. **Developer response:** Thank you for the kind review. I'm glad you're enjoying the app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Fails constantly and privacy concern *2026-02-16* Fails constantly always uses your location if you want it to work and there is no way to turn this location traffic off **Developer response:** Thanks for leaving a review and sorry to hear you're having this issue. Location for the app can be turned off from within your iPhone settings. If you go to Settings -> Apps -> WalletPal -> Location. Also to note your location is never stored anywhere. Location is only used to get the category of a transaction and populate the merchant. Also if you could send feedback from within the app about any issue you're having I'd be happy to look into a fix for it! Thanks again ### 2/5 — Automation fails 100% of the time *2024-02-13* I’ve purged the app form device, followed instructions exactly multiple times, and no matter what, the shortcut automation fails. Manually adding items, the app works well, clean interface, and stays local! Would earn 5 if the shortcut automation worked. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review. Cosa che ora faccio manualmente e faticosamente su Excel. Questa app cataloga in automatico le transazioni con carta e per questo darei 5 stelle! Però avrei bisogno di inserire alcune spese manualmente, la funzione “scan receipt” capta i dati con precisione, ma poi il pulsante per salvare la transazione non funziona. È una funzionalità ancora in via di sviluppo? È importante che io lo sappia se devo pagare un abbonamento e cambiare il mio sistema di registrare le spese. Sul sito su GitHub, non c’è una mail, un form di contatto, nulla…. ### 3/5 — I Want To Love this App *2024-07-01* Concept is perfect / however free version doesn’t even allow for custom categories - so in reality doesn’t offer a lot more than what average modern bank iOS app does. Exporting as csv + Custom categories is very helpful - just wish these features were included in free version. It’s not one of those overcomplicated finance tracking apps, but simple to use. All the features the average person needs, very well realized. You can automate your tracking via Apple Pay transactions and shortcuts. It even groups the transactions automatically into different categories. You can create repeated payments like bills or subscriptions. You might want to add the option to not only add charges, but also to add received money, since one might get some gifted to go out eating for example.
