I decided to get the 1-year membership because it comes with an extra month right now. Getting 13 months for the price of 12 makes it feel like a great value, and I’m looking forward to getting plenty of use out of it.

There are about 10 different locations on the app where they beg you to subscribe to their membership. And nowhere in the app do they actually explain what the benefits of that membership is. 

I’ve clicked pretty much every one of those subscribe links to try to get a breakdown as to what is included with the membership, but none of them actually give you any comparison or breakdown at all. 

It just asks for money which I think is an absolutely idiotic interface.

I’m not opposed to paying I actually do subscribe with GolfGPS but I’m looking for another app that has a watch feature that shows a hole layout. Unfortunately the app designers decided to not actually tell you the benefits of membership.

And yes, I did click the “membership benefits” button in the app and guess what? It does not actually show you the benefits. It just takes you to a sales page.

I love being able to see the green undulation before putting. Sometimes it’s hard to tell which side of the green is higher or lower just by looking at it. Now I can clearly see the slopes and feel much more confident about my putting.

The Auto Shot Tracking feature has been a game changer for me. I especially love the Live Distance feature because I can see how many yards I actually hit with each shot. I never really knew my true distances before, since I couldn’t always rely on the numbers from screen golf. Now I can see my actual distances during a real round and get a much better idea of how far I hit each club.
