### 3/5 — Long sections - no saving.

*2025-03-24, version 3.3.26*

There are nearly hour long sections of the CPR course where there is no option to save your progress. If you get interrupted, you have to start over. Seems like laziness on the developers part - there’s no reason that you should be unable to save your progress whenever you need to.

### 5/5 — Quick and easy

*2025-03-12, version 3.3.26*

Loved this app! Could do when I had time available. Very clear instructions, the practice compressions with my phone were helpful. Will use for me next recertification!

### 5/5 — Convenient!

### 5/5 — Great App for recertification!

*2025-01-22*

This is a fantastic app for recertification. The information is easy to understand and explained clearly. The app is interactive and engaging. You can learn at your own pace and can take time to fully understand these important life saving techniques. The app is very easy to navigate. You can take the exam at anytime that is convenient for you. Highly recommend for a recertification.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-01-21*

as someone who’s taken multiple CPR courses in person, the app provided easy to understand instructions and exercises that felt similar to in person classes! It was engaging from start to finish and is a great tool to refresh your memory on how to properly perform cpr. Definitely recommend

### 5/5 — Simple

*2025-01-02, version 3.3.26*

This app was easy to use for recertification. I wouldn’t recommend it for first time certifications as much as in person.

### 4/5 — CPR Hands on skills

*2024-12-13, version 3.3.26*

This is a great APP! I had taken an online CPR course through AHA but live in a rural area and couldn’t get the in person hands on completed within 90 days, so this APP allowed me to quickly re-certify and do hands on in my living room!!

### 5/5 — Genius way to get certified

*2024-12-05*

This app was super easy to use and extremely convenient. I used to teach CPR and first aid back in the day. I let my cert laps and decided to give this a try. I was SO impressed! The technology to evaluate compressions is so great and the course is educational, interactive, and fun! I really enjoyed it. Got certified in less that 90 minutes!

### 5/5 — So easy!

*2024-11-25*

Convenient and quick! Loves it!

### 5/5 — Great way to get your certification

*2024-11-24, version 3.3.26*

Loved being able to get my CPR certification, to meet my requirement for ACE fitness, at home, fast and complete. So happy I could do this and recieve certification immediately!

### 4/5 — CPR and AED Certification

*2024-10-09, version 3.3.26*

I really loved this course and my ability to take it my own pace. The practice compressions was my favorite part of this course. Very practical and engaging! Thank you

### 5/5 — Very convenient!

*2024-09-21*

This app is fabulous! It displayed all the information I needed to achieve my certification. I really liked practicing chest compressions with my phone. The guidance was spot on and I felt like I was taking a regular in-person class without having to leave my home. I will definitely be recommending this app!

### 5/5 — Time-Saver❣️

*2024-09-15, version 3.3.26*

This app was easy to understand and navigate. This beats sitting through a boring lecture …like I did several years ago . This makes it SO much more personalized and practical. I’ll use this app in the future for RE-certification

### 4/5 — Easy and thorough

*2024-08-31*

The information was good. The app was easy to use, and it was effective for learning. The only negative was they do not discuss how to properly handle an infant, and the video tutorial shows improper management of the infant’s head.
Back blows for choking are recommended for adults with other organizations. Not sure why this video doesn’t discuss back blows to adults.

### 5/5 — Loved it!

*2024-08-22, version 3.3.22*

Comprehensive & time saving!!

### 2/5 — Absolute joke

*2024-07-28*

I stopped counting the number of typos and grammatical errors when I hit 30. It was really distracting and it made it hard to take the course seriously. I'm guessing the slides were created somewhere where English is not the primary language.

I would not recommend this app if you are new to CPR/AED. The information and practice sessions are simply too basic. I gave it a second star because it’s relatively cheap and convenient, and it was a quick way for me to recertify for my personal training certification.

If you are serious about life-saving skills, do an in-person Red Cross course or the equivalent, at least for your first certification.

### 5/5 — Loved it!!

*2024-07-24, version 3.3.22*

This app is great very easy to do

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Sneaky

*2025-06-27, version 3.3.35*

$75

### 1/5 — Awful awful awful

*2024-10-16, version 3.3.26*

The information is great and quizzes are helpful. However, the “practical” portion is an absolute joke. Supposed to use a couch cushion to perform CPR while your phone is measuring depth and rate of compressions. Holding the phone is awkward and unrealistic, the depth of compression changes each second even when you’re not changing anything at all. Almost impossible to pass. It would be much easier to video yourself performing CPR and send it off for evaluation. I won’t be using this app again or recommending it in the future. Big disappointment.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy this!!!

*2024-03-28*

I’m reviewing the compression training feature of this app, and unfortunately, it’s not practical. Additionally, there’s a risk of damaging your cellphone in the process.

### 1/5 — Do NOT use

*2023-10-15, version 3.3.15*

This is the worst app ever! In sounds gois in theory but it is not practical and it hurts! Once you reach the CPR practice chest compression practice, it is hard to do holding your phine between your hands pressing into a couch cushion for compressions. Hurts so bad and very difficult. Save your money and for half the cost go to the Red Cross Learning Center to renew your CPR First Aid certificate.

### 1/5 — Don’t use

*2023-07-19, version 3.3.6*

One of the worst apps I’ve used. It’s not an accurate system and is a 50/50 chance if the computer wants you to succeed

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2023-06-18*

This app stinks. The CPR test on the app is terribly designed and horribly calibrated. I sat the phone down in frustration at one point and within a few seconds it read that I was getting too much depth on my compressions after reading that I wasn’t getting enough depth while I was actually trying! I also seemed to be compressing really fast while the phone was idle despite being a bit too slow while actually compressing…do yourself a favor and either do your CPR certification/renewal in person or use any other app!

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2023-04-19*

I’ve taken many cpr classes over the year in person and online through Red Cross never had an issue with this app it seems impossible to pass not sure if it’s the cushion, the type of phone I use or just the app itself after multiple attempt I gave up and registered for a Red Cross training just glad this course didn’t cost me anything and the only reason I decided to give this a try. I feel bad for those that actually had to pay

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2023-03-27*

Take an in-person class. The information is correct but the practical evaluation in the app simply does not work. I’ve been CPR certified for 20 years. Waste of money and time.

### 1/5 — Impossible

*2022-09-17, version 2.1.17*

This app is impossible to use for cpr as it is very difficult to avoid touching the buttons or the screen and losing my progress. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — Not aha certification

*2022-02-27, version 2.1.3*

This app charges almost 80 dollars for a certification that is not accepted anywhere. The course material is also not up to date with the latest aha guidelines. Don’t waste your time.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to use and convenient

*2026-06-18*

Super easy to use and convenient. I’ve taken in person trainings for years at work so I was already familiar with the concepts. The quizzes were easy as a result. I had a sensor issue with the chest compressions but as soon as I focused on the accuracy grid while giving compressions, I passed. Will definitely recommend and use again.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-12-31, version 3.3.42*

So convenient to be able to certify at home!

### 5/5 — Smart Cert IS Smart

*2025-12-20, version 3.3.42*

This app was more interesting that the in person courses I have attended. You can work at your own speed and the info is administered in a manner that enhances retention!!!

### 5/5 — Lovely !!

*2025-12-02, version 3.3.42*

This app was very easy to use , it was clear in instruction , and much more engaging than my last course ! 100% would use it again and reccomend it to my buddies !

### 5/5 — Simple yet complete

*2025-08-28*

I took the CPR class and really enjoyed it. They said it would take about two hours and I was able to do it in 90 minutes. Very intuitive learning process. Really helpful to do the chest compressions with a pillow at home. The app measuring speed and depth is a great learning tool. Best part was not listening to a boring Instructor. The videos were super well done.

### 5/5 — Really good way to recertify

*2025-07-17, version 3.3.35*

Quick, complete and convenient.

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-04-26, version 3.3.35*

Easy and convenient to get your recertification through this app .

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2025-04-09, version 3.3.35*

Easy to read and understand, timely, convenient, and fantastic visuals and literature!

### 5/5 — Solid recertification tool

*2025-04-08, version 3.3.35*

I would suggest in-person learning for an initial certification, but this app is great to refresh and recertify

### 5/5 — Recertification

*2025-03-19, version 3.3.26*

This is an excellent, hands on app for taking CPR. It saves lots of time without losing content or quality. It provides a “live” evaluation for chest compressions and speed. I would highly recommend it!
