Virtually all non-organic corn (90-95%) are GMO!!! GMO seeds are injected with Round Up to repel pests, definitely NOT safe to eat. The range of produce varieties is limited. would love to see more info about how sprays effect our environment and bodies. Then you'd keep me using this app. I don't agree with Corn being labeled as safe, it is highly sprayed with pesticides and GMO is an issue WE can't ignore. Although the creators of this app defend the corn info, I don't eat corn from stores or farmers markets. ### 2/5 — Corn is not flagged: BIG problem *2011-09-11, version 1.0* GMO (Genetically modified) food has had it's cells invaded with bacteria, viruses & an anti-biotic marker (this is all true. See "Food Over Forks" documentary from research) and going untested, sprayed with heavy pesticides and unlabeled into CORN, wheat, soy beans & canola. Unless it's organic, it's GMO on those products. It’s clear, concise, easy to use AND it’s beautiful to look at. It’s so satisfying to find the exact kind of app you’re looking for, one that meets all your needs and then some, without anything I don’t need. I often find myself Googling, “is (blank) high in pesticides”. This is so much quicker and easier. I appreciate the extra stuff too (nutrition and prep) but really appreciate that you’ve kept it concise. I love the layout and overall look of the app. I especially love that you can see at a glance which foods are safe or not, without having to click on it. Use it to find farmers markets nearby and to decide which foods to by organically or conventionally grown. It is a great shopping companion. But I am increasingly wanting more.
