## What is Smart Journal by Nova?

Nova's Smart Journal helps you find balance across the things you actually care about: work, school, training, hobbies, sports, nightlife, or whatever you pour yourself into.
At its core, the Smart Journal is a flexible journaling app. But for people who want more structure (students, athletes, high-output professionals), it also handles goals, habits, routines, and custom metrics without locking you into a rigid template.
A built-in AI scans your entries to surface patterns, trends, and moments worth noticing. It can connect behaviors to outcomes, flag recurring themes, and help you spot shifts you'd probably miss on your own, without making you reread weeks of notes to find them. It's also good at digging through a lot of history to pinpoint specific moments in time.
We don't think AI belongs in the deeply personal parts of journaling. The AI here is there to make reflection more practical, not to do it for you. By design, it can't write entries or edit your data.
