Also, the Back button does not work well. However, I have run into the same problem as many: I can no longer get the MANY courses I have purchased to load without uninstalling and reinstalling. This is unfortunate because the book only has one set practice questions and no web resources. I think it would be beneficial to add more courses. ### 3/5 — Not terrible, but could be better *2019-11-14, version 1.99* This app is a bit clunky. I used it to help me study for AINS 21, 22, and 23. Each class was $10 to unlock, so $30 was spent total. I noticed that for AINS 21 it didn’t give a reason why a question was wrong, but it did for most of the questions for the other two classes. I like that after answering questions for each chapter it told you the percentage that you got right. However, it’s a pain to go back and review the questions that you missed. Overall, I highly recommend this app as a study guide for AINS. The tests are in the same format so it helps you know what to expect. Besides reading the chapters, I didn’t use any other study guide and easily passed all of the tests. I went through the questions for each chapter until I scored 95% or higher. ### 3/5 — Disapponted is an understatement! *2019-02-19, version 1.97* I just downloaded this app, thinking that it would be a useful tool to help me prepare for my upcoming ARM exam, but boy was I wrong! It’s advertised as free, but if you actually want help studying for an exam it’s gonna cost you 10 buckaroos! You may think, “oh that’s not that bad considering the text book is hundreds of dollars or a class is hundreds of dollars”, to which you may be right. I guess $10 isn’t that bad. Hmm. Idk why I was so mad in the first place. I haven’t even given the app a chance. I just saw the price and freaked out a little bit. Well. I guess this review isn’t going the way I had planned. Disregard the top half of my review. Thx ### 2/5 — No Thrills Design *2019-02-16, version 1.97* Due to the no-thrills design of this app, lack of functionality and user-friendliness I am giving this app 2 stars. The app provides hundreds of questions taken from The Institutes course material quizzes. You pay $10 to unlock the questions in a course which isn’t a bad price by any means. My main complaint is with the app’s UI, which is archaic and lacks any functionality. There is no way to sort the hundreds of questions in a course, you have to tap back or next hundreds of times to get to a question you were looking for. Also there is no way to flag your wrong questions and look at them all at once to review weak spots, again you have to click back or next through the long list of questions and manually find the ones answered incorrectly. The questions are not separated into topics by section which is frustrating. ADVICE: I also purchase the The Institutes recommended CPCU course material for each class (the package with the most content). I would say this app shouldn’t be your only method, as it doesn’t give reasoning behind the answers and could leave you confused on topics you are unsure of. The online courses, textbook videos, flash cards, etc are really great! The app does well in providing study resource while on the go and can build your performance level for multiple choice format exam. ### 1/5 — Bugged *2018-07-26, version 1.97* Every time I close the app and reopen it at a later time it just crashes and brings me to a screen with blank questions and answers. The only way to fix it is to uninstall the app and reinstall it. I hope the developers finally look at the reviews and not only add support for new phone layouts (iPhone X), but also allow search / link features to the text. ### 1/5 — Horrible Design *2018-03-10, version 1.97* Useful as a study tool but quite possibly the worst designed app I have ever used, both aesthetically and functionally. I have used it for about a year at this point and there have been no changes so I doubt it will get better. Not Really Worth $10 a Pop *2017-07-17, version 1.97* I made the mistake of purchasing ARM-54 thru ARM-56 all at once. The quizzes are very basic with no explanations as to the correct answers - but useful for review when you have some downtime. However, I've uninstalled, reinstalled, and repeated several times on my iPhone- but no dice. The app won't allow access to my purchases, won't update, and the Content page just spins a "No Content" icon. I'm stuck having to use an iPad to use what I paid to use on an an iPhone. The GUI isn't user friendly either. Wish the developers would take more interest in creating a more worthy product. I have no problem paying $10 either. The issue is the test that are available on this app do not correlate with the CPCU test I am studying for. I am currently taking CPCU 530: Applying Legal Concepts to Insurance When I search for available quizzes on this app, there is nothing that matches what I need? So I have no idea if I’m buying the correct practice test or not? It’s frustrating that that actual courses I’m signed up for and taking do not match up with the available practice quizzes on here ### 1/5 — Buggy. *2024-02-07* The app provides some great questions and coaching on why specific answers are correct or not. Read the question- answer the question. I like that you can see how many questions you answered and how many are right/wrong. This app helped my pass my test! I think the key is if you have it running in the background to end it and then try again.
