I have been using this app for a while. It is best at organising receipts using tags and so much flexibility to export the receipts and expenses. Also helps me manage my travel expenses in different countries.

This is app is highly recommended for contractors to use for taxes and expenses. It allows you to export .xls files which is extremely important. It’s user friendly and has great support.  You can also share feedback with quick responses.  You can also recommend features that can help improve to our needs.

This is the first year I have used an app to keep up with my recipes. I was a little apprehensive and had a hard time deciding. This app has not disappointed me. I was looking for a total by year by category for my taxes. I reached out to customer service and a day afterwards, they had what I requested added. I highly recommend for small businesses that just need to keep up with their expenses by category for tax purposes.

I have been using this for for a while and I must say this is best one I have used. It ticks all the boxes, smart scan, search, tagging and even allow for warranties tracking.

Excellent app ? very easy to use and gives lots of options to add to your receipt. however, a section to indicate the amount paid on the invoice and the amount of tax to be applied would improve the app greatly. I downloaded a paid stamp from Google and utilse the add photo and text option and indicate the amount paid and date.

I was looking for ways to keep track of my receipts and I have always been losing them, and I found this little app. it’s so useful to take a photo of the receipt, tag it and categories and color code them. So when you need to look back at a receipt, you can easily find it withe the tags and dont have to scroll through 100s of photos. It is going to save me so much time when it comes to lodging tax. You can also save your other docs and gift cards etc.

Successfully scanned one receipt where it recognised the amount, but since then either adds wrong amount when scanned or the receipt amount is €0.00, try to add the correct amount and it resets to €0. Not what I expects from an app that I paid £29 for. A shame as if it worked I would use it. Would not recommend.

I had requested you to share the receipts which are not working and have repeatedly reached out to you to provide help to fix it for you. Appreciate the review but I would really hope that you reply to my emails and we can work together to fix it. It is not a perfect app it can have issues with new iOS updates but I am ready to fix there reviews does not help me. Thanks for trying the app and you can request a refund from Apple and get your money back.

Man kann schöne Aufnahmen der Kassenbons machen mit Mengen Limit von 30 Stück, die man weder einzeln noch aufgelistet sehen kann, man muss wohl eine kostenpflichtige Version herunterladen. Mir stellt sich die Frage der Sinnhaftigkeit der Gratisversion!

Looks like there was bug introduced recently where images taken with document scanner where not saved to photos. It has been fixed. Also a new save photo button has been added to receipt detail screen.

Very clumsy and difficult to work with. Fields with no title what they are meant to be and all compulsory fields. No facility to add a photo or a description. The warranty expiry date has no day of expiry. Just month and year. Terribly designed. Not good at all

**Developer response:** Appreciate the effort and the feedback. The fields have placeholder texts which shows their title, the whole app is about adding photos and I don’t think that adding a photo is not available. 
Warranty is set to a day as it is a calendar and you have to select a day to set it. 
I had the design reviewed by professional designers and I think it is as per iOS guidelines.
If you have more feedback, kindly reach out to support from the app and may be share some screenshots and videos to help us fix any issues if there are any.

The layout and behaviour seems buggy. User interface events jump around a bit and the fonts seem too small or too big in places.

The smart scan feature was really bad.

I see that you are on version 3.6.4 which had some UI issues because of OS updates. I have fixed some of them in the latest 3.6.5 release. Please update to latest version and if you are still seeing those issues, kindly reach out to the support.

### 3/5 — Insane subscription price for such a simple app

The app is good overall. However, I wish that the description would have noted that you can only add 10 or so expenses until they want you to subscribe (unless I missed something on the app page before I downloaded). I’m extremely frustrated because I spent about an hour or so tracking down various expenses and putting them into the app before I was met with a paywall. Everything is a subscription model nowadays and I wish that I could do a one-time purchase that isn’t almost $90! Just use excel or something similar, because the scans barely work and you end up having to type in all the information manually. I can see how this would be useful, but just know that you will have to pay 4.99/mo, 44.99/yr, or the 89.99 lifetime subscription to be able to use the app with full functionality.

I’m sorry to hear about your experience, especially hitting the limit after putting in that effort. Just to clarify, the app does include a limited number of free scans so users can try it out, along with a 7-day free trial to explore all features before committing. 

I understand it can still feel frustrating if that expectation isn’t clear upfront, and I’ll take that feedback on board.

Receiptly has been continuously improved over the years based on user feedback, with regular updates to add features and keep things running smoothly with new OS versions. Maintaining and improving the app does require ongoing work, which is why we use a subscription model.

Regarding the scanning issues, that’s definitely not the experience we want you to have. If you’re open to it, please reach out to our support team so we can look into what might be going wrong and help improve it for you.

Overall, this is a good app with lots of potential! I recommend adding a “Total” column to the Export Reports functionality to total up all of the various categories. Additionally, it would be beneficial to be able to add and track reimbursement payments that offset the running balance of expenses being tracked, as an option.

I moved over from Expensify to this app because I found that it was straight forward while Expensify is crowded with options and over complicated. I also looked at tried additional apps for my business besides Expensify. I have found this app to be more of what I’m looking for to meet my needs. Response time was same day which I didn’t expect, and feedback was taken to account so the app could be updated to reflect concerns. A refreshing exchange in a world where this can be very limited at times.

I’ve been searching for a receipt scanner that is private and exports to csv to feed into any accounting software. This seems to be the only one. Accurate OCR, good tagging. Nice design.

Great user friendly interface with customisable categories Does what I need it to do without being overcomplicated.

This app is absolutely wonderful. It’s easy to navigate, has a dark background that gives the feel of dark mode unlike most apps that hurt my eyes with the bright white, and allows editing of receipts as necessary. This without even having to purchase the subscription or lifetime one time payment, of which allow customisation along with more useful features. I will be purchasing the lifetime access in a few paychecks after taking care of a few high cost necessities. Absolutely enjoy this app.

Easy to use and does everything I need it to do. Will make end of tax year a breeze. I did purchase the lifetime app after using it for a while so I can get all the reports. Highly recommended!

They let you put in just enough info to feel very frustrated before you hit a paywall, BUT the app is sick and like $30/year so feels worth it

I have been using this app a year and I would say it is best app to track receipts and expenses. I have never lost a receipt. It give me really quick search to find the receipt and show it at store when I need it. Home screen gives me quick overview of all the categories. The export to pdf and excel is best and gives me so much flexibility and I can export receipts during Tax purposes.
