- The erase feature doesn’t let you zoom in to get the mask as close to the object as possible, and when you do get it drawn as best as possible, the result is not good.
- The depth data feature could have been interesting. However it doesn’t seem to work by generating the map via AI from a 2D image, it seems to just separate the data from an image that already has depth data.
- The main feature, resizing images, was also a disappointment. After selecting an image taken to double the size of with my phone, it seemed to do nothing other than being up a “please wait”-style screen overlay. That’s all that happened. Image wasn’t generated.
- Not very well planned
- What I mean is that the developer might know exactly what to do, but it’s not easy for the rest of us. Maybe a quick tutorial. Anyway, the resize doubles the resolution I guess but I’m curious about the depth feature. I choose that, open a recent picture I took with the phone and nothing. Absolutely nothing.

- This has been a workhorse app for me ever since it came out, but today I opened it to discover it will now only work in portrait orientation. I hope this was an error that will be corrected soon. Working in portrait is a nuisance, since my iPad workspace and keyboard case are all arranged to work in landscape.
- Not sure why a photo is huge on import and then shrinks as you resize. Rather odd.

- i checked, the app doesn’t double the size.. there is no change to the resolution/size and in one case using drawing mode it halved the resolution!

- The app doesn’t tell me exactly what the application for resizing photos is. Like is it for posting on social media with better quality or what? There are no instructions on the app. If there were instructions it would be better. I don’t even know what I did when I resized the picture. The app just assumes everyone knows exactly what it means

4x resize is a disaster--everything is distorted when photo is enlarged.  2x is a little better, but still I see things distorted/out of place (sort of like what AI does).  Perhaps it's using AI to perform.  Anyway, I would suggest taking your photos as RAW/48mp and get it sharp the first time.

Why on earth would a simple, calculation-intensive photo editing app take over 500MB of space?  What kind of tracking & analytics libraries are included in it that it would take that much space?!

**Developer response:** The app include latest state of art AI models: Real ESRGan (for 4x resizing), Waifu  (for 2x) resizing,  and GFPGan for old  photo, faces recovery.

Waifu 2X: 40 Mb 
ESRGan: 100 Mb
GFPGan: 250 Mb

You could run these from outside the phone, but then you would pay 3-5x times for the online service and sometimes a quote per image!


And if you think these models make simple calculations you are wrong, what they achieve wasn't possible just some months ago.


Rest are libraries used for content-aware scaling. 

The app tracks only crashes, so no big tracking modules or analytics, just plain Firebase.

Check out the developers response to somebody asking in their review….this uses waifu2x and EsRgan (for 4x). so this app has some powerful tools.

i’m going to go ahead and give Smart 5 stars tho in reality it’s probably more like a 4.3. not having access to a computer and in desperate need of enlarging all these wonderful but teeny tiny images i have, i scoured the IOS earth in hopes of finding something. something. everything i tried was garbage and didnt do what was being claimed. then i came across this gave it a try w little expectation and guess what it worked! now i can print my images at a reasonable size and i dont have to worry so much about the resolution output of whatever app i might  be using (many of which have a resolution quality that is pretty pathetic, unfortunately). 
It has its issues, it takes awhile, it crashes out a lot, a couple times i thought it broke my phone when it got stuck in a major fashion .. but eventually it rebooted r whatever and all was well. There is some talk about it creating artifacts, which if u don’t know is seriously difficult issue for digital photography  algorithms where they produce flawed spots in the enlargement, blooming, blurred edges here and there. this might be the case here a bit but im satisfied with my enlargements and really just ecstatic i’m finally able to do it. nothings perfect. hope this review helps those on the search.. in my experience it’s legit and worth a try

I had a very old, small photo of a pencil drawing and I wanted to enlarge it. Enlarging it was one thing but the pixelation! I tried all sorts of apps to get rid of the nasty blemishes. I downloaded new apps that were recommended and worked with the latest AI. They just enlarged the blemishes and the images were unusable. 
Then I suddenly remembered that I had bought this app years ago and found it and it worked. It enlarged the small photo to something quite acceptable. I am so grateful.
