Luckily, the controls are physical buttons on the device. Doesn’t work. *2021-08-03, version 1.8.9* I really wish I would’ve at least read the one review on this before I bought it. I bought it on impulse because my daughter could use it. The ONE review on here, is 100 percent correct. It doesn’t connect to the app it is “supposed to”. It will connect via blue tooth, but not via the sound soother app. Which makes this machine useless. I have plenty of speakers that connect to Bluetooth. Don’t need another. No need to waste your money. There are a handful of times where you will go in and your device won’t be listed. Takes a few refreshes to get it to display your device. Then there is the chance that at this current time, it just won’t work and allow you to control the device. Hardest part is getting your device added to the app, usually you will have either no WiFi information listed for it to connect to (even though you are on the WiFi, it can’t seem to load the information). If you make it that far, the. You can randomly hang on while “Uploading user data” after selecting the device label which then does nothing, as we’ve had it sit on that for 20 min before. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t connect to WiFi *2020-01-01, version 1.8.7* This app is useless- I tried the other one as well. Instead of having to press the buttons on the Smart Sound Soother to access any of the setting, I can just open the app and control it from there! At first I thought it wasn’t working with my Iphone XS but thank god I read the instructions carefully and the app turned out to work great with my phone! ### 4/5 — Love it *2021-01-20, version 1.8.9* So the only downside is it comes with only a few sounds. But after 8 m of having it I was just bored and tried to try the whole connecting it to my phone thing. Connected easily and once I connected it to my Bluetooth I just go to my Apple Music and share my sleep music with my child. So that took care of the whole “only a handful of sounds” problem. I love how it has a color rotate feature in the app. He loves it.
