I tried everything and looked up how to fix it but even after all of that it still did not work

Oh thank god. I downloaded ten different apps to find a free remote to work my Airbnbs tv before I found this one. Every single one of them gave me 3-5 days a free usage before a subscription kicked in. I don’t want to pay to turn the tv on or off at the Airbnb that I’m already paying an arm and a leg for. I appreciate that this wasn’t a paywalled app. If I were to use it for home I may use the upgraded version and pay for that but definitely not while I’m at my Airbnb just trying to turn the tv off.

I downloaded 20+ different tv remote apps and every single one needed a payed subscription just to use the buttons, this app doesn’t do that, at least not off the bat considering I only needed the input button, if you’re struggling to find an actually working tv remote app, this one is it.
