I downloaded about a dozen apps to manage all of our storage boxes before and after a move.  Almost all were designed for small business inventory or tracking individual items that happen to be in boxes. This was the best fit for a few dozen plastic boxes in a few closets and storage spaces and with a UI just right without being too clumsy like other apps.
Bonus too the developer is fantastic and very responsive; they added a QR code/label size option that makes it easy to print on a Zebra label printer.

Not gonna lie, I downloaded this thinking I probably wouldn’t use it much - but it’s actually been super helpful. I’ve got a bunch of boxes in the garage and attic, and I can never remember what’s where.
Now I just label the box, type the stuff into the app, and when I need something I search it instead of opening three wrong boxes first. It’s all offline too, which I like.
It’s simple, does exactly what it says, and doesn’t overcomplicate things.

SmartBox is a really well-designed and thoughtful app for organizing boxes and storage. The concept is simple, but the execution is excellent: clear structure, intuitive interface, and it actually helps keep physical storage organized, not just digital lists.

I genuinely enjoy using it and can see it becoming a long-term tool in everyday life — storage systems don’t change often, and once everything is organized, you come back to the app for years.

That’s why I wanted to share one concern about the pricing model. The Pro version is available only as a subscription, while the free version is limited to just 3 boxes (which feels more like a demo than real use). For an app that is meant to support permanent organization, a recurring subscription feels a bit unnatural.

It would be amazing to have an option for a one-time lifetime purchase (even at a higher price). Boxes are forever, and many users would prefer to pay once rather than stay tied to a subscription for something so stable and long-term.
