## What is SmartDuty by Qedix?

Smart Duty calculates Malaysian vehicle import duties for reconditioned cars from Japan and the UK.

Enter a vehicle, price, and exchange rate — Smart Duty works out the CIF value, customs value, import duty, and total landed cost in seconds, using the same formulas trusted by recon dealers.

• Full cost breakdown — CIF, customs value, import duty, and total landed cost
• OTR estimates — optional on-the-road figures including road tax, insurance, and service charges
• Customs exchange rates — kept up to date automatically
• Calculation history — save, revisit, and share past calculations
• PDF reports — generate branded quotations with your own logo and watermark
• Works offline — calculate anywhere; your data syncs when you're back online
• Multi-language — English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-09

Watchlists now tell you what changed

• Lots added since your last visit are marked NEW, with an unseen
count on each watchlist and a Show new filter to see only those.
• Long-press a car to swipe through all of its photos, with a count
so you know how many there are before fetching them.

Company profiles, now on mobile

• Admins can create, rename, set a default and delete company
profiles without opening the web dashboard.
• Attach a logo, authorised signature, PDF watermark, banner photo
and your own Terms & Conditions PDF to any company, with a live
preview of how the banner will be framed on generated documents.

Account security

• One active session per account. Profile & Security now lists every
device signed in to your account, and you can sign out any of them.
• A clear message when your account is opened on another device,
instead of a generic session-expired notice.

Fixes and improvements

• Shared OTR quotations show the road-tax region again. It had been
  missing from every shared link.
• Settings now warns before you save a Japan freight fee of zero,
which silently removed freight from every quote in that price band.
• The lot quotation sheet has a close button and a drag handle, so it
can be dismissed once More OTR options makes it taller than the
  screen.
• Announcements from SmartDuty now open directly in your
  notifications list.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-03

• Fetch full photos for any watchlist lot, with live progress
• Long-press a lot for a quick preview gallery and actions
• Quotation sheet: full OTR options (fuel, body, windscreen, road tax, insurance)
• Official Quotation can now be generated from History
• Fixes: quotation sheet layout and closing
