## What is Smarter Pack?

Smarter Pack is a travel readiness app for the decisions that happen before departure: what is ready, what still needs review, and what to check next.

Start with one real trip. Add a destination manually or import upcoming travel from Calendar, then build a trip dossier with dates, route context, weather signals, document readiness, recommended items, reusable kits, and a focused field checklist.

Smarter Pack keeps recommendations separate until you approve them. Weather, entry-rule prompts, Body Clock guidance, and on-device AI suggestions can help you decide what belongs in the final checklist without turning your packing list into a pile of guesses.

For frequent travelers, the app keeps the same readiness language everywhere:

Build - create the trip and add the essentials.
Review - resolve recommended items, documents, and imported details.
Check - work through the field checklist.
Ready - everything approved is checked.
Debrief - learn from the trip after you return.

Trip reminders now ask for notification access only when they can help—after you create or import a trip, or when you turn reminders on. Once approved, reminders are scheduled immediately.

Packing reminders now recognize homebound return legs, so a flight home won't prompt you to pack for a second trip.

Calendar review also labels return legs clearly while keeping them available for manual import.

Body Clock now resolves imported route time zones correctly, including multi-stop trips, so direction and shift guidance match the actual journey.

Programs Wallet edits now save reliably and stay available after relaunch.

- Duplicating a trip now preserves its travel mode and home and destination time zones, so road trips stay road trips and Body Clock context remains correct.
- Body Clock reminders arrive at the right local time after you land, including across daylight saving changes and date-line routes.
- Calendar permission and unresolved-destination states now explain how to recover instead of failing silently.
- Duplicate Calendar imports are prevented, and destructive bulk actions ask for confirmation.
- Account deletion is available in the app, while signing out remains separate and non-destructive.
- Alignment, spacing, contrast, and status language are clearer across Trips, Travel Dossier, Packing Mode, widgets, and Live Activities.
