Wait for ~1.5 years in anticipation and excitement for an application that was long delayed, but key selling point. On attempt of creating account in newly launched application you CANNOT even hit continue following username and password input. Very disappointing and unfortunate selling point. The firmware update to the actual massager is horrible too, but maybe it’s enjoyable as an engineer having successfully used app with massager? Unfortunately the firmware update is needing for onboarding…good luck. Please invest in good R&D for a functional app in support of your customers. ### 1/5 — Crap app. *2023-01-11* You cannot create an account or login???????? The app needs access to precise location to connect to wifi(HUGE unnecessary invasion of privacy)????? And you cannot do anything with the app if you’re not logged in. Crap. ### 1/5 — Can’t even make an account *2023-01-04* I like the device itself, but the app doesn’t even let me make an account - I enter in my email or phone number (doesn’t matter which) and the continue button to get to the next step doesn’t seem to work. Very disappointing, as the personalized features of this massager were a large part of the appeal. ### 1/5 — Device seems good - app is terrible *2022-12-26* So many fundamental issues - account creation fails , Wi-Fi setup fails, once a device is found but Wi-Fi setup fails you can’t continue with deleting the device and starting all over , requires your precise location to enable Wi-Fi , on and on - great packaging , product design and concept ruined by an app that appears to not have had even basic testing. ### 1/5 — Can’t get past registration *2022-12-26* I can neither register using the app by email or phone, nor can I pair my device. No instructions on how to pair to the app … so I’m using it without the app.. ### 1/5 — App is VERY bad!! *2022-11-05* Took forever to figure out how to pair the massager because there are no instructions and the process is the furthest thing from intuitive. After pairing the app is useless unless you sign up for an account. But the feature in the app to create an account or log into an existing account doesn’t function. Waited over a year for this app and its total garbage. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — I spent $100 to be able to use this for less than 6 months *2024-08-26* Things were fine, then I got a new phone and had to re-download apps. I can’t use the app even if I select “use without account”. So the massager is the equivalent of what I can get at the dollar store. Trash. ### 1/5 — Garbage app *2024-05-14, version 1.4.1* The app won’t log in anymore and it won’t allow me to create a new account. ### 1/5 — Don’t work *2024-03-21* Just got the thing now got the app and it does not work and the website is 404 forbidden ### 1/5 — Out Of Business? *2023-07-30, version 1.4.1* This has been the biggest waste of time and money I’ve ever experienced. I bought my Lyric at least 2 years ago. In the box were QR codes that were supposed to link to the app once the app was finished…..who does that? The app has never been available to me. There is a QR code in the firmware of the massager that takes you ti a dead link. I just searched “Lyric” in the app and I had to scroll down to find this app. After downloading I had to create an account so that I can update my massager. Well guess what? You can’t create an account because that server no longer exists. Just remove this app from the store. ### 1/5 — Going Out of Business? *2023-06-07* Just check their website. They guarantee a new experience coming in April 2023, and here we are in June, with the same “under construction” message present on the landing page. Emails sent to customer service bounce back as undeliverable. If you update the massager via wifi, it is still on a beta release of firmware that feels very half-baked and must switch between two firmware revisions in order to maintain all features. Not sure what’s going on here but I suppose this is the downside to connected devices that fall out of support from the manufacturer. I wish they would’ve made one final “wrap-up” firmware for the device that’ll disable it’s connected functionality so that it will just turn into a dumb massager if they’re going to go out of business. ### 1/5 — Won’t connect *2023-03-04* WiFi setup fails, no way to update device. ### 1/5 — Promising idea. If only I could get through the setup successfully. *2023-02-03* I’ve had the massager since the Carlsbad 5000 last spring and like the device. But the app is bad. Really bad. I was finally able to get both device and app on Wi-Fi but I have yet to successfully set up a username/password. So I have no account and lyric doesn’t have a website, so no way to get support. I’m embarrassed for them. ### 1/5 — Can’t Create an Account *2023-01-22* The developer needs to address the issues that are noted in the bad reviews.
