## What is SmartHotels Guest?

SmartHotels Guest is the official app for hotel guests at SmartHotels properties.

Sign in with your room number and surname — no registration required. Everything you need during your stay is in one app.

SmartHotels Guest works only at hotels enrolled in the SmartHotels system and complements (does not replace) the in-room Alexa voice devices.

### 1.1.22 — 2026-05-21

What's new in 1.1.22:
- Marketing cards: tap-to-action now opens the correct section (was always opening 'Services' before).
- Marketing cards: button labels (CTA pills) now display properly on the home screen.
- Login: rooms with apostrophes and special characters (e.g. 'Nit de L'Alba') now accepted.
- Room field: now accepts room names in addition to numbers.

### 1.1.13 — 2026-05-17

Eco Mode is here. Skip housekeeping for today or for your whole stay and watch your water, energy and CO₂ savings stack up — every skipped cleaning saves ~120 L of water, 3 kWh of energy and 1.8 kg of CO₂. Plus the usual round of polish and fixes.

### 1.1.10 — 2026-05-05

- Service bookings (restaurant, spa, etc.) now use Europe/Rome wall-clock time. Picking May 7 at 19:00 no longer ends up on May 6 at 21:00 — both your booking confirmation and the staff console see the same date/time you actually picked.
- Staff get an instant push notification when you book a service from the app.

### 1.1.9 — 2026-05-02

- Maintenance + checkout requests now show their actual content on the staff dashboard (the staff used to see only a vague "Maintenance" / "Checkout" label without the message you typed).
- Recent activity card: cleaning + checkout now show their category name instead of the raw "Requested" / ISO timestamp value that was leaking through.
- Checkout request type is now just "Check-out" + "Check-out posticipato" (the misleading "Early checkout" wording is gone).

### 1.1.8 — 2026-05-01

• Fixed: the greeting occasionally showed "Guest" instead of your
  name. We now read the surname from your reservation even when the
  room hasn't saved it yet.
• Booking screen redesigned: clearer day picker, sticky confirm
  button, full slots shown in a friendlier way.
• Consistent empty-state cards across Chat, Announcements, Orders,
  Bookings.
• Cleaner experience when checking into a previously-occupied room
  — chat, requests and notifications no longer carry over from the
  previous guest.
