I have reset many time to default but still no Godaddy default greeting. Unfortunately, I will have to go with another provider. You subscribe to the Conversations app believing that you were receiving a second phone line for a business-in which you are not. I used this app years ago. It worked fine. I was able to download a phone number of my choosing and now you are directed to download a different app and the phone number I chose was not connected to the app. In fact, I had to cancel and I’m hoping I receive my money back. If I could have rated it lower, I would have. ### 1/5 — Still in transition from the old Smartline app *2024-07-19, version 4.50.0* More than a year a go Godaddy started to transition to a new app. I’ve been having so many issues with the previous app: caller ID doesn’t show correctly, I get an error message with some calls saying it’s not a US number even though it is. Godaddy’s customer service promised they would transfer my number to the new app by the end of January. Seven months has past and still nothing. When I called customer service, the first 3 agents hung up after saying their name, and the 4th said he couldn’t hear me. It must have been a glitch with their new move to Conversations. I’ve really been impressed with the second line, but if this is how this rollover is going to go, I’ll just port out to Verizon. There is a HUGE glitch and has been since I’ve had it (about 2.5 years). On the text message screen the numbers are constantly switching around so the name of one client will show on a message of another client then just like that it will change back. I’ve contemplated getting rid of it all together since I’ve mistaken my clients because the name shows on different messages and it’s so embarrassing, frustrating and unprofessional. No issues or inconveniences until recently. Since the beginning of February I have not been able to send or receive SMS. I’ve read certain articles about having to register my Toll-free number or business in order to be able to send/receive SMS. Developer please assist me or guide me in this matter! ### 1/5 — Abandoned product. Glitchy app. Unreliable. *2024-03-18, version 4.47.0* Don’t bother with this app. They abandoned it. Didn’t work two years ago and still has major glitches. You just see “SmartLine Call” where the caller ID is supposed to be. Secondly, the app doesn’t give you any notification of texts or voicemail (these settings are turned on when I check my settings for the app). I’m on the latest iOS and have had issues for several months. SMS and call tracking is near impossible due to both messages and numbers being mixed up. Now since its being moved to go daddy conversations, it goes to a warning page saying I will need to use my credit card instead of my apple account after migration. It’s been doing this for 2 months now and even though they’ e taken my payment from apple, I cant use the app because the warning page pops up after about 3 seconds. The G**gle voice app didn’t work for me because I had no idea whether someone was calling my personal line or the business line without having to pick up. With this app, it shows the logo so I know exactly when someone is calling the business line. I use it as a call forwarding number for my office line since I’m working from home now. Also, I like the ease of the app. The way it documents and groups calls, texts and voicemails from the same number together is awesome. After being disappointed with the Voice app, I was about to just buy another phone and this saved me the money and the hassle. Definitely worth the money. ### 5/5 — Awful Customer Support *2020-08-08* The SmartLine app functioned well, but the SmartLine service did not have all of the features we needed so we decided to switch to Grasshopper. We ported our number to the new service, then once this was done we cancelled our SmartLine account. Unfortunately there was some technical issue at GoDaddy (the parent service) and our account stayed active even after we cancelled it. I have spent a week trying to get GoDaddy to resolve the issue because our business line is INACCESSIBLE, so far to no avail. It seems no one knows what’s happening and for some inconceivable reason customers are not allowed to speak directly with the SmartLine tech support reps. We have to communicate ONLY with GoDaddy’s tier one support. This is an awful experience and I do not recommend them! ### 5/5 — Not all I hoped for but definitely needed... *2020-05-06, version 4.35.0* I needed a separate line for my business that would show as a business line when it rings and this service is perfect for that. However, the text messaging feature is not working great even after the update. It will fail to send messages, sometimes it will just freeze 🥶 and close out. Sometimes I can’t even dial out. I also wish there was a computer app like messenger or Google voice where I can text and receive texts while I’m at my computer. But anyway, If the text issue and dial out issue was working it would be rated higher but I really need these features to work properly. ### 5/5 — Pretty Good *2020-03-02, version 4.35.0* It’s a great service, just with a few flaws. Sometimes I’ll have a notification and even after checking every text it still appears. Also, I had a student who texted me and I still haven’t received the text. This was two days ago now. But all the features they advertise work! The voicemail into text is a great feature, and the text and calls work just fine. Also, sometimes the links don’t want to send. Like a regular message will send just fine, but for some reason links don’t want to send sometimes. ### 5/5 — Awesome App!!! *2020-02-02, version 4.35.0* Comes in super handy for business as I do not want to give my personal number out to customers. That may sound a little harsh, but any one who works with people either going on appointments or working retail sales knows what I mean...
