I can tell you’re working on it, but virtually nothing that worked last month is working now. I have to control everything from the box. ### 2/5 — Old Functionality missing from barebones app *2023-06-27* Where are my reports and old functionality? Hunter here I come. You should be offering rebates for this downgrade :((((( No warning or information in advance of upgrade?? Is Weathermatic going out of business or under new management? ### 3/5 — Bring Back Reports *2023-06-21* One of the most useful items - Reports - has disappeared from this latest version. Those Reports (time series of water usage, temps, etc) was displayed in graphic form on the first page. Please restore that chart. ### 1/5 — Do not waste your time *2022-09-27* They have stopped all support and changed something so all you get now is status info No longer ANY ability to manage the controller. Used to work off and on and has always been buggy but was usable ### 1/5 — So far… worthless *2021-08-12, version 4.18* I tried to sign up , but to start with it will only list me as homeowner. I’m not. I AM a landscape professional. Apparently I have to input all sorts of worthless site info before I can even get to the QR code. ALL I want to be able to do is remotely run the controller without spending my time with the app! I have one new site with two controllers and I’ve already spent more time dealing with this crap than I would have spent just running them manually! NOT user friendly. ### 1/5 — Disaster *2020-04-12, version 4.16* The old app was terrible and this one is worse. The UI is a train wreck. ### 4/5 — Much improved *2020-02-20, version 4.15* The new app design is much easier to use and gives the user a great overview of current program days and timing! The only three things I’d like to see improved are: - The cancel button when editing a program can’t be clicked on an iPhone 11 as it’s in the same place as the iOS swipe up bar - The water usage history view only shows 5 days on iPhone 11 and X. It only shows data up to 2 days ago I.e on Thursday I can only see history data from Friday up to Tuesday. It would be good if this showed data from yesterday as well. - As a residential user I only have one controller, on the home screen it states ‘No delay detected. Your next program will run as scheduled.’ However when I select my controller it tells me there is an active weather delay. It would be great if the home screen reflected the same info as the controller so you didn’t need to click in to the controller to see the delay. ### 1/5 — Smsrtlink *2020-01-05* Useless since i got my iphone 11 pro and ios 13. Just crashes when i try to open the app. Support has not fixed the problem even though they said months ago they were aware and their coders would have fixed within a week ### 1/5 — Poor app with lots of bugs *2019-12-19, version 4.13* This app is a disaster. Cannot get the time correct this with the controller. Keeps adjusting time zone and putting the incorrect time time on the controller. App layout and functionality is awful, often doesn’t fit in iPhone screen so you can’t select/see options. It does let you turn the sprinklers on via the app, but that is all it lets you do. ### 1/5 — Won't open *2019-11-30, version 4.13* I haven't been able to get this to open in two months. Otherwise I would give this a higher review] I love the idea of controlling in my sprinkler from my phone. This app does it with sporadic success. The UI is good except for the fact that when you run some zones, the dial won’t land exactly on its own. Instead you have to dial slightly backward to get the zone you want; even though the zone name you have does not show up, you kind of have to trust the system. Then you click to except that zone and see if you got the right one. Annoying, but likely an easy fix if they will invest the time and $$ to do so. thankfully, I don’t use this professionally, or I would probably switch to some other platform. **Developer response:** The latest release version (4.13) should fix your iOS 13 issues! We had a slight delay with approval in the app store, so we're sorry you had a bad experience immediately after the iOS 13 update, but it should be working now! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — A loss of time *2024-06-19* I like the app it help me a lot but recently i am having trouble on turning zones “off to on”and the app says that is a pending instructor working on it and it don’t make sense because I am the only who can get access to my account and I am like why they don’t say for example “ loss connection with controller “ or something that makes sense ### 1/5 — iPad *2023-09-26, version 5.3.0* Just had this installed, told it ran well on iPad by several employees that installed system. Cannot even run a manual zone on an iPad. Needs to be reworked for the iPad big time. Regret the system all together ### 1/5 — Ruined *2023-07-25, version 5.0.3* I can no longer control our systems with this app. I occasionally need to turn a controller on or off, but can no longer do this, or much of anything. ### 1/5 — Ruined it *2023-07-13* When you re-designed this app, did you consider at all homeowners (non-landscape professionals) who rely entirely upon mobile applications to access SmartLink? Your “streamlining“ completely killed off my access to the logs I used regularly. I also need the app in order to use a hose here. I thank you for adding in more time choices than 5 friggin minutes max, but I need you to add still more, 15 mins, 20 mins, etc. Thank goodness my iPad doesn’t automatically update applications or I’d completely have lost access to logs that I value, but I don’t feel like lugging my iPad around the property every time I need to water. ### 1/5 — Email login broken *2023-07-11, version 5.0.3* Latest update does not fix email login, it used to take two attempts, now it doesn’t login at all. ### 1/5 — Please provide option to use old app version !!! *2023-07-10* The app version prior to this new release was fine the way it was. On prior version, Ability to run a zone or a program was quite simple and the reports layout was quite helpful. On new version, to run a zone you can only select for 2 min runtime, not helpful when troubleshooting or adjusting heads in a selected zone. Also not helpful to release a new version which has “coming soon” for features that already was working on prior version…delay release until all prior features are functional on new version. I see there is a way to use the old app interface by selecting Programming options; therefore strong request, please keep ability to use old app setup as that is a much better all around in my view … ### 1/5 — Total Failure *2023-07-06, version 4.20* This app worked great prior to this update - all functionality has been disabled in this update. Very frustrating! ### 1/5 — Downgrade *2023-07-02, version 4.20* What happened to the old app? This is a total downgrade. Why change what was a good system. Thank you. I also like that I can now turn the system off via the app. I have noticed that I don’t get errors when I send my commands to the controller. Well, maybe random errors here and there but nothing like before this version. The cleaner “run manual zone” interface is pretty good, I’ve learned to appreciate it I would request if you could add a bunch more time options.
