## What is SmartPower50?

Bluetooth app to control the 1780 Smart Power Supply.
This transformer is commonly use for outdoor deck, landscape, and fence lighting.

Remember to pair the transformer and phone the first time you connect. Before connecting with the app, push and release the pair button on the power supply (display will show 'bt' for 30 seconds or until pairing is successful). 

If you are having issues, try the following:
-- Factory reset the transformer (unplug the transformer for 10 seconds - hold in the power button and plug in the transformer at the same time - you can release the power button after the display comes on with 'Ao')
--Remove the device from the iPhone's bluetooth settings (Settings, Bluetooth, click on the blue information icon after the SMARTPOER50_xxxx device. Then click 'Forget This Device')
--Try to reconnect using the app - make sure to push and release the pair button on the transformer BEFORE connecting to the device.

Downloaded this app for my deck lights and although it would pair with them initially, the moment I closed the app or locked my phone it would disconnect and I’d have to go through the pairing process again.  I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app but that didn’t help.  I also emailed the app creator but did not receive a response.

Will not let me open the setting

**Developer response:** The transformer needs to be ON & in dusk to dawn (dd) or an hour mode (1h, 2h...) to allow photocell setting. A prompt is put on the screen that warns you of this if you try to change it without having the settings correct.

Connects to device, but any attempt at controlling defaults back to the original setting - dimmer, timer etc. Dated UI, rarely updated, dead support link, and convoluted firmware updating process makes this extremely unfriendly.

Downloaded to support the SmartPower 50 low voltage transformer for Westbury deck lights. Really bad UI. Minimally funcional. I can pair, dim and brighten, but I can’t turn on and off, which makes it less functional than the cheap remote. Looks like something that someone threw together one weekend and never bothers to maintain. Kind of works for dimming and brightening, but it’s largely junkware.

Edit: You can turn it on and off on the “Advanced Tab”. Really? Turning the power on and off is advanced? I’m speechless. That demonstrates that that the UI is crap.

The app connects to the device but doesn’t work when I try to do anything, dimmer, on/off, mode switch. Nothing works. Why even make the app if you’re not going to support it.

Downloaded the app for mobile control if I lost the remote.  The app found it but it cannot dim or turn it off.  The remote rarely works unless you are very close to it.  Do not get until the developer responds with a verified fix
