I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app but that didn’t help. I also emailed the app creator but did not receive a response. ### 1/5 — Latest Update Breaks Connection *2025-11-22* The latest update completely prevents the app from being useable. A prompt is put on the screen that warns you of this if you try to change it without having the settings correct. Email smartpower50@gmail.com if you are still having issues. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Control Device Despite Connecting *2023-10-03* Connects to device, but any attempt at controlling defaults back to the original setting - dimmer, timer etc. Dated UI, rarely updated, dead support link, and convoluted firmware updating process makes this extremely unfriendly. **Developer response:** The app has been updated. The app found it but it cannot dim or turn it off. The remote rarely works unless you are very close to it. DO NOT BUY!! And I mean BRICK like can’t turn it off via remote this crappy app OR even the power button on the box. App would not let me change the mode only the dimmer and power. Might as well just use the included remote and and set to dusk to dawn. Controls everything! ### 4/5 — Works well but It needs to be WiFi enabled *2020-09-02* Works well for what it is...a Bluetooth only phone remote. What would make it amazing is if was WiFi. I would Lomé to be able to turn the lights on from out boat or car when we are approaching the house at night. ### 4/5 — Easy to Use *2020-04-12* I gave a 4 star because wish the app would tell me when the pairing is broken. I thought the app was not working but instead the pairing with the transformer was lost. Also wish the Bluetooth range was little farther. You have to be pretty close to transformer to make the app work. **Developer response:** Apple restricts the app from knowing if it is paired or not with the transformer. We updated the app to catch some error codes which indicated the pairing was most likely lost. We added on screen prompts to help remedy any problems. Really bad UI. Minimally funcional. I can pair, dim and brighten, but I can’t turn on and off, which makes it less functional than the cheap remote. Looks like something that someone threw together one weekend and never bothers to maintain. Kind of works for dimming and brightening, but it’s largely junkware. Edit: You can turn it on and off on the “Advanced Tab”. Really? Turning the power on and off is advanced? I’m speechless.
