### 1/5 — Zero Refunds on failed transactions

I had an order failure where ₹90 was supposed to be refunded. SmartQ support informed me that the amount was added to a credit wallet that expires within minutes, instead of being refunded back to the original payment source. In my case, only ₹80 (company-provided shift allowance) was credited back, while the additional ₹10 that I paid from my own money is still missing and is neither visible in my SmartQ wallet nor refunded to my GPay account.
What makes this worse is that customer support simply stated that the refund was added to an expiring wallet, without properly addressing the missing amount or explaining where my personal funds went.
Refund processes should be transparent and customer money should never disappear into an expiring wallet. Very disappointing experience. I expect a proper investigation and refund of the missing amount.

What a horrible app that fails at basic functions. Non user friendly and janky unusable ui. The developers and designers for this app should quit, they don’t deserve to be employed anywhere in tech. 
This is the worst app everyone I know at my workplace is forced to interact with (this has been surveyed). 
I don’t think anyone would ever use this pile of garbage if it wasn’t forced by some corporates for food ordering.

### 1/5 — Login & Authentication Not Working

The app is not working as expected. Even with the latest iPhone, latest iOS, and the latest version of the SmartQ app, the login process fails after successful Microsoft authentication. Authentication completes successfully, but the app then asks for additional authentication and eventually displays an “Unexpected error has occurred” message instead of completing the registration or login.

The login and authentication flow needs to be thoroughly tested and verified across supported iOS devices and versions. At present, the app does not provide a reliable sign-in experience.

I am forced to leave this review because this app essentially traps your money. Im longer needed to come to the office and access to the physical cafeteria. I have a remaining balance left in my wallet, and when I asked about a refund, I was told by staff(cafeteria buddy)that they "cannot transfer or refund the money" and that I should just "buy things for friends" to empty it.
This is incredibly unprofessional and borderline predatory. If you take people's hard-earned money into a digital wallet, you must provide a way to refund it when circumstances change. Forcing users to spend money they can no longer use is unacceptable.
Do not add money to this wallet. Once it's in there, they will not give it back. Fix your policy and refund my money.

The app has Paytm payment which does not support BHIm upi payment.  This lack of feature makes the app useless for me… was easier before

The app is slow almost all the time, sometimes it resembles IRCTC during tatkal booking. Also the vending machines only work half the time.

Since this is the only way to order on our cafeteria, I’m forced to always call for support or end up having food outside . Waste of time, money and energy. 

To put it bluntly, this is a Theva illatha aani 🤷🏼‍♂️

Always deduct money from the bank. Money will get refund to your bank what the use of this app if order is not placed at the particular point of time .When the people in hunger they trusted in this app and order food.

The app doesn’t provide a very intuitive UPI payment page. I personally use PayZapp, but the app doesn’t have any direct link to the app. And if I choose other UPI, it takes me to a webpage where I have to enter the details every time! This is a very bad experience for users. Also the app doesn’t have direct card payment support. That also takes you to a webpage where you have to enter e everything every time!

I’d like to suggest adding a rating option for food items — it’s essential for users to share honest feedback. Currently, the food quality at BDC9 is disappointing, and without a feedback mechanism, there's no way to voice concerns or help improve the experience.
Additionally, SmartQ should work closely with food vendors to enhance the variety and quality of offerings. At present, the limited selection lacks taste and value, leaving many of us feeling dissatisfied and that our money is being wasted.
Improving this would greatly enhance employee satisfaction and ensure better accountability from vendors.

It’s really frustrating to use in Carelon- as it keep asking for location on every single time and credit card information are not saved and needs manual entry but then card information doesn’t show up on the top it’s on bottom as you’re unable to enter and you can’t even copy paste of it. Hungry app was better comparing it.
