It used to be so easy…. a year ago we got coupons to use in the store to get water or soda. Frustratingly the pump would only deliver the usual 0.10 discount. We spent several minutes and two trips trying to make it work. Such things leave a bad taste in a customer’s mouth. (As a follow up we were annoyed enough to call customer service and after getting rerouted we were offered apologies and a credit for thirty cents. Really? It wasn’t about the money so much as the time and effort and frustration when we are loyal customers. Once I had actually invested MORE time to give them a chance to respond that felt even worse. They ended up giving me some points toward something in the future I wonder if I’ll ever use. I got another offer for discounted gas in my email this week, but because I cannot tell which stations may or may not offer it, we aren’t even going to try-we will just go where we know what we will be paying.) ### 1/5 — Bring Back Free Drinks!! *2026-08-11, version 8.5* The new app is creating all kinds of new problems and headaches. It wax SOOOO much easier when my reward was a free drink. The cashier could easily scan it and was good to go. Now everyone struggles to add the reward dollars instead of just a free drink swipe.
