## What is SmartScan™ MobileID?

NEC’s SmartScan MobileID application enables officers in the field to use their department-issued iOS devices, paired with a pocket-sized biometric reader, to rapidly identify subjects during traffic stops, warrant sweeps, or fugitive operations. Capable of searching fingerprint, face, and iris biometrics and receiving search results in seconds, SmartScan MobileID requires no laptop setup or return to the station to provide immediate, actionable intelligence that enhances officer safety and speeds case resolution. Because SmartScan MobileID is device and peripheral agnostic, agencies can determine the best equipment to meet their operational needs and budget.
Use Cases. SmartScan MobileID provides flexibility to support multiple use cases, including:
     Subjects in the field with no valid identification.
     Large-scale emergencies requiring rapid identification, such as natural disasters.
     SWAT/special operations warrant sweeps.
     Fugitive and investigative operations.
