It goes to your favorite tab/screen? instead of using the app, can we not have a mobile website option? . Thank you ### 3/5 — Good; but need more function *2025-08-30, version 2.54* There’s many things to comment on but one I would love for SS to focus on is when you click on certain elements IN SS it opens up a link or looked up record. There needs to be more focused on that for the app. The app has no ability to click on something to open up another window. The first one I would love for y’all to work on is the count field….. if you click on that in the app, it shows the underlying records. Can’t update records consistently while on the go because the app keeps crashing, which makes the app nearly useless. On paper, smart suite was an exciting alternative that offered more for less. But on mobile devices, my primary use case, it’s been too unreliable. I was willing to put up with forms jumping across the screen and losing my inputs right before I saved them, but now after being locked out and completely unable to access my documents, I’m convinced I simply cannot rely on the service. Today, I was logged out on all devices for some reason. Signing in with my Apple ID was simple enough on my phone, but even after restarting both the app and my iPad, I was told on every attempt that my credentials were incorrect - though, again, being identical to those I used successfully on another device. ### 2/5 — Want to love it *2024-03-24* I thought this app would be my rescue from Airtable after their terrible attitude towards customers reflected in circumstances surrounding recent changes to their business model. Just give us widgets and Siri Shortcuts! ### 2/5 — Seems Robust, but Buggy iPad App *2023-10-14* Looking for a work-management solution like this. SmartSuite seems to have so many great features, but within 20 minutes on iPad…so many bugs: fields not saving, Solution settings not saving, SmartDoc editor not displaying when clicking into it, assigned to selections not saving. I will try again & update if anything changes, but these many bugs make this a dealbreaker. ### 2/5 — Great except missing essential features *2023-08-20* I would give this app five stars if it was possible to: Use the iOS share-to menu to add content. I can easily share content and URL to Notion and Clickup and Airtable. Have a fully private solution. Right now the administrator can see everything. I like keeping everything in one place. OR AT LEAST BE ABLE TO: Switch to my personal account in the app- have it possible to add more than one account ### 4/5 — Great functionality Better UI required *2023-05-23, version 1.29* The app allows access to the great functionality that Smartsuite provides. It is able to allow access to a vast amount of data and information. In my view the UI could be more simple, as it seems that in endeavour to replicate the we version this has resulted in a complex UI. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — SmartSuite’s Sign-Up Process Blocks Legitimate Businesses *2026-07-10* I was genuinely excited to try SmartSuite after it was recommended to me as a potential alternative to ClickUp. Unfortunately, I never even made it past the sign-up screen. The registration process requires a business email address, which is understandable. I first tried using my company’s Gmail account, and it was rejected. I then used my actual domain-based business email address, expecting that to solve the problem, but it was rejected as well with the same message saying I needed to use a work email. At that point, I had no way to continue. If a legitimate business email tied to my own domain isn’t accepted, something is clearly wrong with the sign-up process. It’s incredibly frustrating because I can’t evaluate the platform or see whether it’s a good fit for my business. I was seriously considering moving my team from ClickUp to SmartSuite, but if I can’t even create an account, there’s no opportunity for SmartSuite to earn my business. First impressions matter, and right now the onboarding experience creates unnecessary barriers for potential customers. If your registration system incorrectly rejects valid business email addresses, you’re likely losing people who are ready to try and potentially pay for your product. *** I hope SmartSuite fixes this issue soon because preventing legitimate businesses from signing up is an unnecessary obstacle that could cost them valuable customers. ### 1/5 — Not great *2025-09-30, version 2.56* You know it’s bad when I take the time to leave a review. I couldn’t even sign up. Typed my name. And then no. It wouldn’t let me do anything else. ### 1/5 — Great app, when it works *2025-07-27* I love using this app and then it just stops working. A spreadsheet app that can’t sort is pretty useless. Even after deleting the app and reinstalling it, it refuses to sort basic lists. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t open anymore *2025-02-01, version 2.34* When I try to open the app, I get an error message that says “Bad Request: Request failed with status code 400.” Previously, it was a great app. If this gets fixed I’ll update my review. Update: I’m giving it one more week from today, 2/1/25. If issue is not resolved by then I’m deleting this app. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t open anymore *2025-01-28* When I try to open the app, I get an error message that says “Bad Request: Request failed with status code 400.” Previously, it was a great app. If this gets fixed I’ll update my review. ### 1/5 — Keeps crashing. *2024-03-13* I don’t know why but since the last Apple update it keeps crashing. Won’t let me send support ticket unless I use Apple mail. 🤦‍♀️ ### 1/5 — Cannot even log into the app. *2023-12-20* I download the app and then it goes straight to a screen that says No workspace is present. When I tap, login to another workspace it says there is a server error. ### 1/5 — Would be nice if it could actually get started *2022-12-28, version 1.19* Sadly, have tried a few times to actually login and/or create a workspace and then login. Once the screen comes up where you choose the different areas of focus (project management, professional services), whether you select 1 or more than 1, you hit continue, it spins for a minute, then back to the same page. Go use upper left back button to prior login screen, click continue, and it all fails. After 3 tries to get this working (and I have to admit I’m very technical so this fundamental first step to register and use it should not be this hard/impossible), I gave up. IpadPro M1 2021. 16.2 ipados and latest version of this software app as of december 2022. Maybe you will have better luck than i setting this up. But for me, well, can’t even get it running to try it out. Best of luck to you. ### 2/5 — When Good Apps Go Mobile and Forget How to Work *2025-04-28* The SmartSuite iPad app feels like they built a different product and hoped I wouldn’t notice. Either the desktop version is a freak accident of brilliance, or the mobile team simply mailed it in. I’m betting on the latter. I love SmartSuite, but on the iPad it’s like trying to play chess on a Lite-Brite. Looks nice. Doesn’t work. ### 2/5 — Needlessly confusing *2025-04-03* The website is great, the app is terrible. Needs a complete overhaul. Notifications are intermittent. The app should be as customizable as the website so users can prioritize what’s most important to them individually. Keeping track of my inventory is key in my workflow. ### 5/5 — If ClickUp and Airtable had a baby… *2025-04-01* SmartSuite just works. Best investment we have made into our business. Takes the best of the database world and mixes it with the best of project management. There is almost nothing you can’t do in SmartSuite, and somehow it’s still intuitive to use. Worth paying for *2024-11-01* The mobile app is decent and lets me do basic tasks. The 5 star is for the product as a whole. It’s much better on desktop and overall I love it. I’m leaving Knack and Airtable. I’ve already tried Monday, Asana and countless others. While there are some issues overall it’s a home run. I have hours of time back and I can share data with anyone in a relatable way easily. The mobile app is powerful and has more functionality than others I have tried. I can do nearly everything on mobile as the desktop for my workflows. I created a forms for volunteers to input data from their phones and smart documents to input journal notes, I have photos showing progress all in one space. I didnt lose loads of time trying to learn the application as it’s pretty intuitive and there’s a robust template library to figure all the features Smart Suite has to offer as well as they are adding on new features all the time!
