I have to log in every single time I open it, and most of the time it takes multiple attempts to do so. And now it keeps telling me my hot tub is offline…despite the screen on said hot tub showing a connection to our WiFi. I have so many free apps with no subscription costs that work a million times better than this garbage. And I swear each update makes it worse. The scheduling part of the app is incredibly confusing. I’m very close to cancelling my subscription and just using the control pad on the hot tub since that’s what I have to do most of the time anyway. When you charge as much as u do, maybe use that money to get someone who knows what they’re doing to build your app… ### 3/5 — Wish it had more options *2026-07-25* I have had my J13 swim spa for 2 years. Had trouble with connectivity, so I had to have an upgrade performed in order to connect to the app via WiFi. I wish there were more options to run the spa for an hour vs. 15 min., because some chemicals require the spa to run for at least an hour to circulate them. Also wish there was an option to have only one color for the lights, and not the constantly changing ones. This app is pretty basic, but I do like being able to control the spa remotely. It would also be nice to have some way to monitor my chemicals… I have a Crystal Water monitor for this purpose. ### 1/5 — Poor performance; poorly designed *2026-05-06, version 9.0.46* I have to log in every time I open the application. My login times out 50% of the time. Commands sent to my tub often time out. The scheduling side is confusing at best. I can’t control my exterior lights on their own schedule (jacuzzi 3xx series). The energy usage chart is buggy and most just renders as blank. All that said. The app does work sometimes. The alerts and reminders are nice. I’m giving one star. Mostly because it’s been three years, and nothing has changed. If anything; I feel like it’s gotten worse. ### 2/5 — Just OK *2026-04-18, version 9.0.41* It’s nice to be able to adjust the temperature and filtration cycles. It’s a bit maddening that you can’t reset the monitor on the clear ray, water change, or filters until the time runs out. I change my water more frequently than the monitor and it’s pretty useless if you can’t reset. ### 1/5 — Worst App Ever *2026-03-24, version 9.0.29* Do not waste your money on this app. Have had it almost 6 months with our brand new swim spa and it’s worked maybe a month total. Currently it says my temp is 32 degrees F when it’s actually 95. Customers service is not help other than if I send an email complaining the app magically works for a few days until it doesn’t again. Jacuzzi bus no help either. Not worth the price paid, it’s not worth it even if it was free. Garbage. ### 1/5 — Good luck accessing SmartTub *2026-03-10, version 9.0.29* Can’t even login the 1st time…accepted the code I was emailed but that’s as far as I got…useless app…don’t bother ### 1/5 — SmartTub app not accessible for visual impaired users anymore *2026-03-10, version 9.0.29* I downloaded the SmartTub app when I purchased my Jacuzzi hot tub. I am visually impaired and changes have been made to the app that doesn’t allow me to use it anymore. I reached out on the app for help and sent three emails but I have received no answer. Please make this app accessible again for visually impaired users. It is a inconvenient and a hassle having to depend on people to control your tub for you. ### 1/5 — Completely Unusable *2026-03-06, version 9.0.29* Can’t Even Enter the Verification Code I recently bought a new Sundance Altamar 880, and the installers told me I’d be able to control my spa through the SmartTub app. Unfortunately, the app has been nothing but problems. It was missing from the App Store for a while, and now that it’s finally back, it still doesn’t work. I’ve tried signing up multiple times using three different email addresses. The app sends a verification code, but the code field doesn’t accept any input at all — tapping the numbers does nothing. I deleted and reinstalled the app three separate times and made sure to clear all data, but the issue never changed. Right now the app is completely unusable, and I can’t access any of the features I was told would come with my spa. Very disappointing for a brand‑new product. ### 1/5 — Shame on Jacuzzi! *2026-03-06, version 9.0.29* This has to be the worst premium brand app ever made. It’s so buggy I could not even get past the sign up process. Completely useless. ### 1/5 — Chemical balance button is gone *2026-03-04, version 9.0.29* The last update seems to have removed the button I tap to see the chemicals, like chlorine adding advice.
