Won’t recognize password and end up changing password almost every time I log in only to be told the password I input is an old password and I can’t use it!! Well of course it is - I knew I had the right one to begin with!! Says my email is not verified but has no way to verify it. I decide to change it and it won’t recognize a new email. I can’t believe a business has an app out there as poor as this one!!! ### 1/5 — Waste of space *2023-04-28* If you want an app for cosmetics then look no further. I log back in to pay my bill this month, bill pay error. It certainly lets me login and see my bill, but allows me to do nothing otherwise. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, installed fresh iOS software, uninstalled and reinstalled…..and ultimately had to pay the bill via phone. 👎🏻 ### 1/5 — Poor App *2022-01-04, version 2.0.6* You really need to improve your app Smeco. Why have one if it doesn’t work? ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work… *2022-01-03* This app used to work reasonably well. I used it b/c the site won’t work properly on my phone, now the app doesn’t work at all. Get it together SMECO! Login failure each time I try to log in. I know the password works b/c I can log into the website… again… the website doesn’t work on my phone either so all I can see it the top bar, like it’s constantly refreshing and won’t stop. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2021-02-26* If I could give it negative stars I would. The app has no memory of anything Including my correct email, checking account, cc, or even that I have an account. A customer since 1988 and I still can’t pay a monthly bill without re-entering checking acct or cc info, and that’s assuming I get past the “no account” / “add account” firewall. No, “firewall” is too polite. Absolutely horrible - can’t even add my account. Error received after entering 10 digit account number and either last 4 of SSN or even billing address zip code. Acct Information from Web, should auto transfer to mobile app. Fonts are way too small (need a magnifying glass to see them). Very poorly designed and executed. SMECO hasn't updated in months. Very frustrating! Hopefully, the app will get an overhaul and fix the consistent issue! ### 1/5 — Still Broke *2025-04-12* This app has not been updated in over a year. The password issue continues to linger. Which is to say that the password expires without telling the user. This requires calling Smeco and getting the password reset. The app password is also not tied to a biometric feature as many other apps do. This would make it more convenient for logging in. This app needs to be Updated now. ### 1/5 — Stopped working *2025-03-10* The app features stopped working a couple years ago and now the app doesn’t allow you to sign in at all. It won’t allow me to sign in. Website works fine. ### 1/5 — THE WORST *2024-01-31* I had no problem with this app for the first maybe year I used it. For at least six months now, it says invalid credentials. Acts like you forgot your password but won’t change it. Go to the website and everything is fine. So it’s a glitch in the app. Don’t bother with it. ### 1/5 — Why Bother! *2023-11-29* Worst app ever! Why bother having an app if it doesn’t work?! It takes more time trying to login than it does to pay a bill. Isn’t the purpose of an app to streamline the process? New SMECO user just created a new account to login. As soon as I went to login it immediately said it cannot log me in and my password is incorrect. This is SAD that this complaint has existed for years and still hasn’t been corrected. Due better! Or don’t offer the app! ### 1/5 — Worthless *2023-07-11, version 2.0.7* Downloaded the app and it will not open. What’s the point of offering an app to better serve your customers if no one is making sure it’s working properly. Every time I try it says there was an error try again later ## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated) ### 4/5 — It used to be useless now it’s so much better! *2018-11-13* They must’ve done a major overhaul on this app. I’m able to log in see what I need and just keep up. You still can’t change your payment amount to pay any amount but I’ll take what I got for now. ### 3/5 — Better then it was *2019-02-15* It’s better, but I really REALLY wish you could save a default payment method so I didn’t have to type it in EVERY time! ### 2/5 — Password issues *2025-07-30* Just like everyone else says, when i enter my password correctly, it almost never works. It either forces me to reset my password, or i have to login through the browser to login with that password. It's really annoying. But when it actually works, everything works fine. Logging in is painful, if you can even get it to accept your credentials. ### 2/5 — Can’t Log In! *2025-04-10, version 2.0.9* Just like everyone else, I tried to download the app despite the reviews, and SURPRISE SURPRISE, it doesn’t recognize my username and password either!
