Time to pull trays doesn’t account for folks with attachments—being barked at repeatedly while prying your trays out as fast as humanly possible gets old. 3. Geared toward the young crowd—would be nice to have a version/settings for folks over 16. 4. A place for the doctor to give guidance/feedback after delaying you to the next set of trays would be brilliant. Example: “More chewy work on the front teeth until the next scan in three days.” As it is now, I need to reach out and ask—lame. 5. Tilt and roll of the scans seems too twitchy—how about a set of levels to help folks hold the phone correctly? 6. Lastly, backwards type—even lamer. I have six more months. Each and every week this requires a lot of fussing around, trying to get the app to recognize appropriate position of the camera in relation to the teeth. On top of this, some weeks the scans just won’t upload, and when it hangs, there is no option to try to resend the the photos already taken, so you have to cancel and do it all over again. ### 1/5 — Scan blurry *2025-05-29, version 7.36.1* I’ve taken several scans I keep getting told my scans are blurry after doing the troubleshooting steps. This is too tedious and takes up too much time. I even got an additional piece to help focus and still having issues. Have tried again and again. As others have said there is no option to move to the next screen once you’ve assembled the scanbox so you get stuck in an endless loop if it doesn’t recognize its setup. If I ever get beyond this step the app will glitch out on some other step with no option to pick up where I left off. Any pictures that are sent are never fully accepted because the app says they’re blurry. I have zero control over this! Have never been so frustrated with an app ever. ### 1/5 — Scanner doesn’t work *2025-05-11* When the scanner works, it works great. The problem is it rarely works. It doesn’t detect when you’ve assembled the scan box nor when you’ve put the tube in your mouth. Therefore, it won’t start scanning your mouth so you’re unable to proceed with the scan (it just keeps telling you “assemble the box” and “put the tube in your mouth”). This could all be avoided if you could press a button to proceed with the scan, but no such functionality exists. Another frustrating part of this experience is there’s no way to save scans that are good and only redo the scans that are not. So you have to restart the whole experience from scratch anytime a single scan doesn’t work.
