This is not a coincidence, it’s a pattern that feels completely dishonest. When I reached out to customer support, I was met with pure negligence. No responsibility, no proper explanation, and no meaningful resolution. This app clearly has **no respect for its customers**, no value for our time, and absolutely no concern for our hard-earned money. Once payment is done, they simply don’t care what happens next. The service is unreliable, the system is flawed, and the support team is careless and dismissive. Using Smile App feels like being cheated and then ignored. One of the most frustrating and disappointing food delivery experiences I’ve ever had. Smiles always takes prepaid orders even when the restaurant is closed or items are out of stock. Rider assignment happens very late, so when food finally arrives it is cold and ruined. Many times, no driver is assigned at all, and the order gets automatically cancelled — with the money gone as well. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially when someone is very hungry. This app truly makes sure you stay hungry and become angry. A terrible experience overall. I installed this app to use the points I earned from Etisalat, but it is the most ridiculous app I have ever used in my life. Even though I chose the restaurant closest to me, the delivery time was extended by 30 minutes. When I wrote to the support units, I was one of 25 people waiting in line. ### 1/5 — Ordered with coupon but deducted full money *2025-12-17, version 7.7.1* I ordered with a coupon 39 off in chicking i applied the coupon and it was showing 17.3 aed at checkout after giving otp suddenly the message came coupon not valid and they deducted ful amount of 53.3 without any other message. Purely cheating .i reported the issue saying cancel the order and refund just after i place order before recieving the order then the smiles assistand told already order is preparing so it cannot be cancelled i will raisa the issue to higher department i told her if i recieve the order i cannot get refund but she was continously saying cannot cancel the order and i recieved it after i recieved the smiles executives are calling and saying i complaint for the delayed order which i didnt my issue was entirely different and after i explained they are saying you already recieved the order so we cannot refund it was their executive who told cannot cancel the order and to recieve. Very bad experience never using the app again ### 1/5 — Complaints delivery *2025-12-17, version 7.7.1* I am extremely disappointed with the quality of your delivery service. While placing my order through the application, I clearly mentioned that I would require change for 500 Dirhams. Despite this, the delivery person arrived unprepared and informed me that he did not have any change. What is even more unacceptable is that the delivery person then asked me to cancel the order after waiting for 5 minutes, which is completely unprofessional and inconvenient. This shows a lack of responsibility and poor coordination between your service and delivery staff. Your delivery personnel appear careless and untrained, and this incident has caused unnecessary frustration and wasted my time. I sent them 2 vouchers that one of these I have used but in my order there is no free item included. So I wanted to cancel the order. But after saying 50 times they are saying we cannot cancel the order. These items are long life items so I know the policy. But there customer service is not at all supportive and asking there customer to pay full amount if your of there are many promotions going on in other app and store. I felt like they are forcing customers to pay and then don’t have right to cancel the order . I never faced this issue ever in my life. Pathetic service, pathetic agent attitude. I used it for a 'Store Pickup' order thinking it would be convenient. However, the app charged me 131.5 AED for an item that costs only 98 AED at the shop. When I contacted Smiles support, they told me the price is higher because I 'earn points.' The math is terrible: I paid 33.5 AED extra to earn points worth roughly 1 AED. This feels like a hidden tax on users. The app should match store prices for pickup orders, or at least be transparent about the massive markups. I reported this issue to the Smiles team, and I was informed that I would receive a cash voucher equivalent to the order value, valid for 30 days, along with a 50% discount coupon capped at AED 20, valid for 7 days from the date of issuance. Unfortunately, I did not receive the refund equivalent to the order value. Instead, I received only AED 4. However, order was delayed by 4 hours. Further, there was discrepancy in items ordered v/s received and despite highlighting this multiple times, there was no resolution. Their chat service is absolutely useless where agents lack service orientation, remain indifferent to client concerns and are incapable of handling issues. Smiles fails to realize that it is competing against likes of Talabat, Noon minutes and Careem which have excellent services that do not require follow ups.
