App is ok but we Reset a device, and now it wont open. We have the option to download older versions of the App in the App Store but they download and then wont open at all. Tríed to contact Smores, cant vía their website. I’ve messaged Support about it, and it was never fixed about four months ago. I was there for 10min trying to simply add a chore and assign it to my child. The interface is confusing and busy and the app itself is quite glitchy. The s’mores app frequently locked the kids out, lost their data, and otherwise failed to perform. We finally just switched to having them text me when they finished their chores. We had several great years using RoosterMoney with kids happily, independently completing chores and easy to find rewards and tracking. We moved to s’mores after that App limited use to the UK. I know it can be done to have an easy to use, reliable app. Unfortunately, s’mores is NOT it. ### 1/5 — Bad *2024-11-13, version 08.08.12(801)* Could not even get signed up. Kicked me out of the website/app immediately after i put in my email and password. The buttons are off the corner of the screen where I can’t click anything and I get stuck in the same exact page everytime. Once I click on something, I can’t go back without closing out the app and starting over. The “x” to close isn’t in a spot where I can click on it. The scaling of the images is off. The ‘cards’ are too large for the screen, so the buttons at the bottom that you need to press to use the app are offscreen and can’t be pressed. None of them are as phenomenal as this one. This one has been a charm and my little guy is finally up and helping around our house! This gives the kids a sense of freedom and helps with him really feeling like he has a job and completes it when he’s finished! But Keeps Crashing On iPad *2024-05-16, version 08.05.15* We have been using this app for the last three weeks and my kids absolutely LOVE IT! They are so organized and have been looking forward to checking things off. I was surprised how much they appreciate the badges and family message board. Only issue I’ve been having is: we leave an iPad mini in our family corner...where we keep school newsletters, sports schedules, etc. and the kids have been using the iPad to log in and manage the app. Our kids don’t have their own screens so this was the only way I could let them manage the app outside using my phone. But the app has been crashing on the iPad all week. Opens, starts to load, then closes. It’s the only app I’m having a problem with so I know it’s not device related. I put countless hours into personalizing and setting it up with photos for each chore. And now when I click “mark complete” on a chore, the app crashes. 😰 Please help? ### 5/5 — Thank you for keeping my neurodivergent family on task *2023-04-30, version 07.03.23* We downloaded this app two weeks ago after reviewing chore apps/allowance trackers and this has exceeded all expectations so far. The chores are easy to customize for nearly every need. The only thing that would be nice (that I believe they are working on) is an option to set up the chore to show pending “until completed”. Sometimes deadlines need to be flexible so motivation isn’t lost. My ADHD 8yo LOVES the instant gratification of points upon completion of chores (after parent approval if set up as such!). I can tell if it going to be an awesome tool for teaching money-sense too. You can save points, redeem them for rewards, give them to other family members and also cash them out. As if the chores features were not enough, I LOVE the newly implemented “Do this…Don’t do that” section where you can customize bonuses and penalties. I use this section to track behavior. Things like “Don’t interrupt” or “Help your brother with something” don’t really fit in the chore section where they’re assigned to family members or put on a schedule or due at any specific time. The admin team is actively present on the community page and responds to questions and requests about the app regularly. Keep up the good work, y’all!!! ### 5/5 — We are really enjoying this! *2023-03-10, version 07.03.09* Our family is loving to have a creative and fun platform to make goals as a family, communicate and, work together to take care of all the daily needs. I like that you can tailor the goals to fit your family style. My kids want to save up to go on special hikes and go camping… which are all the things I really want to do with them, but sometimes become difficult while just trying to get all of the chores done and take care of the family and our baby with special needs. Smaller goals look like a tub of ice cream, for an ice cream night. The kids seem to be more understanding of the why behind the chores, and want to work together as we all want to go do these fun things! My incentives will look different than other families but, I love that we have that option to makes the goals to work toward that fit our individual families :) Well done app developers! ### 5/5 — Love this! *2023-01-10, version 06.11.15* I never leave reviews for hardly anything… least of all an app but this has been such a blessing in my household! I have a daughter who struggles staying on task and as a full-time, working single-mother it’s hard to keep her on track and parent her while I’m away. S’mores up has allowed me to organize my household, hold my girls accountable, and teach them responsibility. I love that there is the option to forego the reward system but for us it helps keeps us motivated! My kids are loving the competition and even collaborating on chores. They get to come up with rewards and negotiate for special prizes. I don’t have to ask them, maybe on occasion give them a nudge. As my husband says, for us, this app is well worth the money. He’s even playing.
