There are a ton of better options out there, I suggest you try any of them before this bloated piece of junk. Nothing works, the app or the hardware and they don’t stand behind it.

To begin with- the gimbal suddenly loses its mind and starts moving sporadically trying to shake off the phone mounted. 
Application itself is so poorly designed it’s really hard to navigate, some options in settings have blank fields with no text so you don’t even see what are you switching on and off... face following function never worked for me, just wouldn’t follow any faces at all..Attempt to update firmware returns an unsuccess message.

The app ‘seems’ to be OK but I can only switch between modes (slow mode, time lapse, video and panorama) occasionally. Most often it gets stuck on slow mode and won’t switch to any other mode. A real pain. This needs fixing ASAP

I like the SMOVE gimbal hardware but I hate the software. It is not reliable. I recorded video for about 10 min and when I hit the stop button, it said video save failed. I lost very important video of my child. It happened over a year ago (a few versions before) and it just happened today again with the current version. They did not fix the issue for over a year!! This time I lost the official audition video for the instrument. I see the file name in the cache but the only option is to delete the file. There’s no way to salvage the cached file.

The customer support has been frustrating! The unit was not working properly the first day and the Smove app is disappointing! After getting the run around I was told to ship the unit back at my own expense. It was delivered on the 15th and now it is the 27th. Still no refund and no customer support response to my return. I would not recommend this product due to the support and customer service alone.

I purchased the SMOVE for its auto follow feature, downloaded the app on my iPhone XR and couldn’t get the app to connect the gimbal with Bluetooth.  Very disappointed, I’ve been emailing with customer service but to no avail.

The Smove gimble never worked, and the customer service representative was very rude and not helpful to start, and then continued to harass me after the fact, even threatening to have me arrested. I requested a refund, there was no refund policy given at the time of purchase. When they denied a refund, but offered to replace it with shipping at my cost, I tried to explain why that was not going to be a viable solution for me, but was again denied. I filed a chargeback with the card, and was repeatedly harassed by a customer service representative, who multiple times threatened to have me arrested...which was just ridiculous.

This app has changed so much. The development team doesn’t seem to care anymore as I am getting an error I have never received before about Bluetooth not being on even though it is always on. Every now and then the face tracking works but it’s like this thing has a mind of its own. Mid shot for an important interview I had the gimbal started wondering away from my face. This cost me money and respect. Fix your app.

I have spent over an hour trying to get this face follow to work, and the function literally goes away from my face. When I tap my face and the square turns red like it’s supposed too, the little icon where you tap for the face follow says “off”.

When I first got the SMOVE mobile gimbal, I was really excited. It worked great whenever I had time to mess around with it. A couple years have passed since I’ve bought this gimbal, and I’ve decided to use it along with my old iPhone 7+, for BTS videos when I’m on set. First thing I notice when I opened the app after a year or so of not using it was that there are way more glitches than I would deem reasonable. When I switch between modes (video, time lapse, panorama, etc) the slider would switch, but when I hit record the mode was always video. Then when I go into settings, none of the text is visible. A workaround was to close/reopen the app, but someone shouldn’t have to do that. I’d like to review the time lapse and panorama features, but the app won’t let me get to those modes. The app also sends me a “Bluetooth isn’t on” error message, despite the fact that I never turn Bluetooth off on my phone. Whenever I see an app/software get to this point, it makes me think that the company/devs don’t care about or trust their product anymore, and that makes me sad because a couple years ago I would have recommended one of these, now I’d say to go to a competitor, that’s what I’ll be doing for my next gimbal.

This app works decently on my android, but horribly with my iPhone. The gimbal slowly drifts, and the joystick intermittently works. Double tapping the trigger recenters the gimbal sometimes but other than that, needs an update.

I was so excited when I got this SMOVE MOBILE gimbal for Christmas... .. . It worked for about 2 days and all of a sudden it just started glitching BAD... .. . Twisting and turning so forcefully my mounted iPhone flew right off. Seeing that I am not the only one that has experienced a hardship with this product; maybe we can start a petition and get reimbursement +.

Recommend not to buy this Gimbal and don’t download this App. It’ll be a waste of money for the Gimbal and waste of time/space using their App that always crashes.

send it back now before it’s too late. this company is a scam the products don’t work and there’s going to be a class action lawsuit on the way. just peruse through the fb group smove users and support. not 1 person in there has a working smove and the page had to be created bc there’s no customer service. don’t make the mistake thousands of us already did.

I love the hardware of the Smove mobile gimble. What I don’t love is the absolute trash status of the app and the absolute lack of customer service. Have tried multiple times to contact the company, have NEVER heard back from them. The app crashes whenever I hit ‘stop record’. And lord help me if I want to do a firmware or keypad update. Because they always time out. If you’re thinking about the Smove Mobile, don’t. Buy from someone that cares about their customers.

Reading the other reviews I’m glad I’m not the only one having major issues trying to get this thing to work. I’ve tried probably 25 times to get it to work right. The thing loses its mind and shakes uncontrollably and is impossible to use for the simplest things. I’m so unhappy with my purchase, the hardware almost works right, the software almost never does. Do not buy this product.

This is absolutely the worse photo/video app I’ve ever used.  The panorama feature does not work.  The time lapse video works...sometimes!  The gimbal Bluetooth disconnected in the middle of a time lapse video, which stopped the movement of the video but didn’t stop the recording.  The app sometimes tells me that the gimbal is not connected via Bluetooth although it is.  This is also the worse app as far as intuitive use of it.  So many flaws!!!!

So one of the things I judge a business on isn’t when things are going great, it’s when issues arise. I specifically bought the SMOVE Mobil for the ability to carve my own path during a time lapse. 

Well, the first one I got would spazz out whenever I moved the tilt axis. Sent it back. Got a new one. Same issue. Rage balls. Sent it back and got a new one a few days later. The whole time I was in contact with them and they were helping me through the whole process until they made it right. They even expedited shipping so I had it for a gig. 

I got a working one that’s amazing and I’m very happy making me loyal to this brand.

The SMOVE is everything they promise it will be and more. The setup is clearly explained in the guide. 
The controls take a little getting used to but that’s because it was my first time using a device like this but in under 10 mins I was shooting my first video. 
The results are amazing. No shaky video, smooth panning. 
The app makes it easy to pair the device and to see what you are shooting. The zoom is incredibly smooth. 
Overall, if you are looking to shoot video with your phone that has a professional look to it then this is what you need.

I had my SMOVE mobile pro less than a day and it broke. None of their apps would work. Then the stabilizer randomly started moving on its in tipped over and broke. One of these worst products I’ve ever owned. Looking for a refund or a new product that isn’t malfunctioning. If not will look into legal action for false advertising and selling faulty products.

I see reviews of customer service , they do answer tho it took them a little while as in a couple days .. I wanted to update from a smove mobile to a smove pro but wasn’t able to .. wanted to pay the difference.. Tho it’s here now I have my smove mobile and ready to play with it. Will write another review later after it has been used .. Tho I agree with others,,, customer service should be top priority. Only problem is I don’t know why the extra plug chargers .. they don’t work with iPhone 11

So the overall app is alright. It has bugs and does seem to make my phone work harder than I’d like. But besides that they company overall is amazing! I had issues with my smove and they fixed the issue right away! No issues or any conflicts! Amazing service and a great experience! Overall I like this company a lot because of that.
