I noticed a charge of $1.07 after my original purchase. Is this supposed to be a monthly subscription? I did not see that when I bought it. How does one cancel this monthly billing?

It seems fine for more basic usage, but if you want to set up more advanced filters with regex, a huge issue is that all regex patterns are case sensitive, and I can’t figure out a sane way around this. Additionally the app doesn’t seem to play well with country codes, at least just from simulated testing.

App fatta bene. Intelligente l’idea di implementare i filtri stile l’app Comandi. Però per farla funzionare, almeno nel mio caso, è stato necessario riavviare l’iPhone dopo averla configurata. Gli SMS arrivavano ma non venivano filtrati. Dopo il riavvio, tutto ok.

For a while, I could not get this app to work. I was so confused because the reviews are so mixed - some people report it working perfectly for them and others report it not working at all.

I noticed that the app was successfully filtering via 2 rules (out of 15 rules). Both of these rules were for phone numbers that are not saved in my contacts.

It does not successfully filter any messages that come from saved numbers. This is an issue for me because I like to save numbers from companies that I hear from often.

Perhaps this is a restriction of how iOS decides when to apply the filtering logic? Or maybe a bug in SMS Filter+?

It seems to work - using the simulation at least, I am a little disappointed that even though it looks like the Shortcuts app, you only can setup that one step- so it really doesn’t do much other than forward messages to the junk folder. 
It would be great if you could add steps to reply stop, or forward the messages to “spam” or 7726 which the carriers use to help filter spam on their end.

This app is a hot pile of garbage from what I can tell, after tests each shows as working yet not a single sms has been filtered! Mysterious indeed. Developer has not replied to my requests for support.

Мечтал забанить SMS по имени отправителя, но в iOS нельзя, если нет номера. У 99% SMS нет номеров, только названия. И при этом не отправляя все SMS в тот же Яндекс, который сможет читать все.

I use this to filter out sms messages originating from an email gateway.  These gateways rarely have a legitimate use and I gets tons of spam from them.   Just filter on contact contains @ and send to junk.

This is a free app which follows the Apple design language and is the most updated out of all the SMS blocking app.
I also like how quickly it is to create rules and all of them gets synced to iCloud.

Duplicate rules.

So on the plus side, this app works where others don’t at preventing spam. The main reason for that is because it supports using REGEX filtering. REGEX is incredibly powerful but it’s difficult to write filter for it. It’s a bit like trying to find the magic word for something. Real “It’s leviOsa not levioSA” energy. I made one that filters anything containing the first 3 digits of my phone number after the area code and it has massively reduced spam (and so far not blocked anything real). Also blocked anything containing the name of the person who used to have my number over a decade ago. Only downside is if a message filters on the iPhone it doesn’t also automatically filter on the iPad so the SMS spam still comes through there unless you manually copy over your filters. Add iCloud settings sync and this app would be perfect in my book.
