I downloaded mySMS a couple months ago when my Verizon Message+ stopped working after a switch to a MVNO. Now mySMS has stopped syncing messages from my Android phone. I can’t figure it out. When it works, it’s great. This is my time using mysms on an ipad the experience is not nearly as good because of this one significant problem. If I’m in the middle of typing a message, if I receive a message before I hit send, the message I’m in the of typing disappears, forcing me to start over. If I’m receiving multiple texts, it makes it impossible to get my message out. I tried to find a solution in the help section but didn’t see a topic that addressed this. Took some digging but I did find an email for support. All I got was a reply saying they can only look at emails for premium users and the way for premium users, like me, to contact them is directly through the android app. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to connect them in the android app that doesn’t involve the same website that the iPad app takes you to. ### 3/5 — Can not copy and paste number for new message *2019-10-19, version 3.16* Please fix this bug. I can’t copy and paste the new number into the phone section when composing a new message. As far as using my laptop/ipad to text...this maxes doing so (thru the cell) super easy and way more practical while I’m on those devices. ### 2/5 — Syncing delayed/non-existent on iPad *2019-05-02, version 3.16* Good concept, but syncing is *greatly* delayed on iPad with no way to refresh. Tried pulling down on both sides to refresh and 18 hours later, still nothing. Looked all through knowledgebase with no luck. Tried emailing mysms; response was that they’d only help their *paid* users. Even manually synced from phone (which doesn’t help the user that left their phone at home or doesn’t have immediate access to it) and that didn’t resolve the issue. No updates!! *2022-07-21, version 3.16* Very unreliable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. When the phone rings the app gets in your face and you have to hit several clicks to get it out. Notifications stay on even though you have cleared everything. Unfortunately I haven’t found a better one yet but I’m still looking. No update in 3 years! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work…. *2022-04-26, version 3.16* This used to work perfectly… now it doesn’t. I lost my phone and when I looked at this app on my iPad I couldn’t send any messages or anything. Nothing can be sent. It crashed…. The developers need to correct it and make it work again. All it says is messages can’t be sent. ### 1/5 — Receiving SMS should be easier than this App. *2022-04-21, version 3.16* Upon installation, you need to login with Google (if you've no Google account you can't use it). You can't register your number from your iPad Mini cellular, only login with an existing account. You have to install the app on your phone... you should be able to just receive SMS from the SIM in the iPad Mini WITHOUT it needing to sync to something else or needing an account to do so. EE UK SIM cards don't work in the iPad Mini unless you set it up in a phone first; which defeats the object of data in the iPad Mini. iMessage does not receive confirmation codes to setup the EE SIM in an iPad Mini without setting it up in a phone first, due to the iPad Mini 6 not receiving SMS. 🤦🏼 (Edit: VOXI via Vodafone network -works as it should), regardless of iMessage / Cellular / Apple continuity. Either way, this app over complicates and under performs iMessage which with the right SIM card works fine. ### 1/5 — Quit Working on iPad *2021-12-16, version 3.16* Was working on my iPad a suddenly stopped sending and receiving messages. ### 1/5 — “Do not ever install this app, doesn’t work & big headache” *2020-12-09, version 3.16* “Do not ever ever waste your time installing this app, it’s a big waste of time and a big big headache or a migraine trigger and will make you so so frustrated and tense up. This app does not work and I tried to install this app but the i tried to connect this dumb useless app to my iPhone and then to my iPad and it didn’t sign in, it wouldn’t sign me up even using the sign in with an existing email. I stayed up a few hours later excited to try to get this app and set it up but wow I sure have a headache now and sure wasted a few hours of my rest time trying to get this darn gone app to work. We both use it on our android phones, iPads and our laptops...even occasionally the web-based version in Linux. The yearly fee for premium is nominal as far as we’re concerned.
