• We check it — every ingredient is screened against a curated table of hazards documented by the FDA, ASPCA Animal Poison Control, and the Pet Poison Helpline

THE VERDICT YOU CAN TRUST
AI reads the photo, but AI alone never decides safety. If an ingredient is on the hazard table, the verdict can never be "safe" — no matter what the AI thinks. When we can't identify something confidently, we say so instead of guessing. And you can review and correct what we read from any label before trusting the grade.

HONEST LABEL GRADES
The letter grade reflects what's actually printed on the label: named protein sources, nutritional balance, synthetic preservatives like BHA/BHT, artificial colors, and transparency. Marketing claims don't move the grade. The ingredient list does.

DANGER = ACTION
When something is dangerous, SnackPaw doesn't just warn you — vet and poison-control hotlines are one tap away, right at the top of the result.
