## What is Snake Defense?

Snake Defense is a snake game crossed with tower defense. Your snake guards a castle at the center of a 21x21 grid, and waves of enemies march in from every edge. Eat them before they reach the walls -- and build real defenses while you do it.

TOWERS AND MOATS
This is what makes it more than a snake clone. Spend the coins you earn mid-run to raise turrets on the castle's four corners, and to flood moats that slow attackers and soak damage. Upgrade tower range, tower damage, moat HP and moat slow between runs. Your snake is not the only thing standing in the way.

DEFEND THE CASTLE
Collide with an enemy to destroy it and grow one segment longer. The longer you get, the more board you cover -- and the easier it is to run into yourself. Run into your own tail and the run is over.

FOUR ENEMY TYPES
- Grunts: fast and numerous, the backbone of every wave
- Brutes: slow, two hits to kill, double damage to your castle
- Wraiths: quick and awkward to intercept
- Healers: mend nearby allies, so take them out first

BOSS WAVES AND MODIFIERS
Every 5th wave sends a boss with heavy HP. Other waves roll modifiers: Fast (enemies move 40% quicker), Armored (+1 HP each), and Swarm (double the enemies, all grunts). Every 10th wave is a bonus coin round.

COMBOS
Chain kills quickly for Double Kill, Triple Kill, Mega Kill, Ultra Kill and Rampage, each paying out bonus coins with a screen shake to match.

POWER-UPS
- Shield: survive one collision with yourself
- Coin Magnet: pulls nearby coins in automatically
- Castle HP upgrades: raise your castle's maximum health
- Coin and life pickups spawn across the board mid-run

SKINS
Unlock six snake skins (Green, Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink and White) and four castle skins (Gray, Tan, Cyan and Purple) with coins earned in battle. All cosmetic -- none of them change the odds.
