Getting money back!! *2022-08-18* You can only take a picture of the snake through this app. So if you see a snake, you have to find this app & figure out how to take its picture for this to work. I can’t even get the camera on this app to work. By that time the snake is GONE. Horrible app. Calling Apple tomorrow for a refund. **Developer response:** Hi hope you are great! I have a picture of a snake that is on my driveway right now, and I can’t even use that picture with your app to identify it. You should put that in the description of the app!!!! The app takes the image provided by the camera in a current millisecond and makes the best inference, take into consideration that our trained model only recognizes a few hundred snake species. We are working hard to make some upgrades like using a photo previously token and recognize 99% of the snake species, but please take into consideration that is really a hard work, in this app we spend 500 hours organizing and training the model. Appreciate your support, and all futures updates will be free ### 1/5 — Worthless App *2021-09-04* Just keeps cycling through species names with no clear identification **Developer response:** Hi first of all thank you for the comment. The app makes an inference of the image in the precise millisecond provided by the camera and makes the best inference possible and maps the provided image with the current snake of our trained model, we make some tests and the inference quality is good for the trained AI species. We are working hard in making great update to support +3000 snakes, but is a lot of work. Currently the app only recognizes a few hundred species. You can check our support URL. There’s no way to take a picture; you just hold the camera over the snake and Latin names with ridiculous percentages change repeatedly at the bottom. There is no way to use a photo or take a photo. This app is useless. The trained model support a subset of snake species +300 at current time. We are planning huge updates like using a photo from the phone, more snake species, upgrades to AI algorithm. Now the image classification works by converting an image from the camera in real time to the closest similarity of supported snake species. We appreciate your time and trust. I had the snake and the app just kept scrolling over the snake for at least 10 minutes and just kept throwing up a bunch of different scientific names and never provided a result.
