## What is Snap?

Every trip starts the same way: you step off the plane somewhere the signs, the menus, and the small print all stop making sense. Snap quietly hands you the language back.

Point your camera at a menu, a street sign, or a train timetable and read it in your own language on the spot — the translation sits right on top of the real words as you look. Bad light, or a sign you already photographed? Translate a snapshot or a screenshot from your library just as easily.

Then Snap goes further than an ordinary translator, using AI to handle the things that usually turn a trip into a headache:

- Understand a document. Point it at a rental contract, an official letter, or a form and get a plain-language explanation in your language — so you know exactly what you're agreeing to before you sign.
- Fill in a PDF form. Snap's AI reads the fields, drafts your answers for you to check, and hands back a finished, ready-to-send file — no more squinting at a form in a language you don't read.
- Sell your old things. Photograph a jacket or a bike and AI turns it into a ready-to-post title and description for Vinted, OLX, or Marketplace.

For everything else you run into on the road:

- Translate as you type. The AI keyboard rewrites and adjusts the tone of whatever you're writing inside Messages, WhatsApp, Instagram, or email — so you sound natural in any language.
- Speak and be understood. A two-way voice interpreter carries a real conversation both ways and reads translations aloud, so you get the pronunciation right too.

Camera text is usually recognized right on your device; anything that does need to be sent — to translate, read a scan, or explain a document — travels over an encrypted connection, is processed and deleted right away, and is never used to train AI.

Something we learned while working on this one: Papua New Guinea has more than 800 languages. That is roughly one in eight of every language alive on Earth, in a country about the size of Sweden. We handle 70+ of them, so there is some way to go yet.

Fill in a paper form without the guesswork. Photograph an official form and see every question in your language, with a suggested answer to check and copy — border declarations, residence registration, rental contracts. Save your details once and reuse them on every form after.

Also new:

- Read any document, not just signs. Import a PDF or a photo and get a plain-language explanation of what it actually says, or export a side-by-side translation to keep.
- Your language, everywhere it was missing. Some screens still showed English, and a few showed raw placeholder text. All 29 languages have been gone through line by line.
- A camera that does what you point it at. Edge-to-edge viewfinder, tap to focus exactly where you mean, and pinch or drag a translated photo without it sliding off the screen.
- Steadier live translation. Text on signs and menus holds still as you move instead of flickering.
- Your subscription in plain sight. Manage, pause or restore it straight from Settings — and it no longer warns you it is ending when it is not.
