So the app either doesn’t notify me there are messages or it says there are multiple messages when there isn’t really a message so then I think I haven’t responded to a parent. Please fix these issues. ### 2/5 — Pretty bad but not much choice *2024-02-23* It’s pretty bad. It works on a basic level, most of the time, along with the 3 other equally janky enterprise platforms I’m supposed to use to communicate with my kid’s school. We love the school, but I wish schools would just use normal consumer software that is better suited to the task, such as Notion or even Slack, than the confusing web of substandard specialized apps that somehow get these contracts because they’re willing to navigate the process, or whatever. ### 2/5 — Clearing feeds *2023-05-10, version 6.1.9* No way to clear all the feeds. I only need to know what the teacher message me. I would see all the post from the school and still the icon shows I have unread messages or posts. This morning, I’ve been trying to login and it’s saying no internet. Please fix as I’m trying to utilize it to communicate with my children’s teachers. ### 1/5 — Broken and they know it *2022-12-14* As an app to communicate important information, it is a failure: notifications are broken. I see notifications regardless of whether there are new announcements or messages. When it occasionally clears, then it doesn't show new notifications until it feels like it. Uninstalling, reinstalling, none of it works: a tech can reset it on the back end if you complain, but then it won't work as soon as something new comes in. The devs have known about this for a long time, but it's still fundamentally broken. ### 1/5 — Basic *2022-12-04* Very basic. No video uploads. No ability for caregivers to comment on posts. No ability to send messages to a group bcc style, message threads become a reply all chaos. Pictures show up as attachments and can’t be swiped through like social media. Not user friendly. Frequent bugs that are not fixed in a timely manner. Translation into many languages is nice. ### 2/5 — Buggy notifications *2022-12-03* The app does not clear the badge indicating there are messages to be read both within the app and also on the icon for the app. Super frustrating. I turned off notifications but now miss news, but the badge thing is too irritating to turn them back on. Please help me!!! ### 2/5 — The App Alerts Don’t Work *2022-11-07* My child’s elementary school sent out a request that all parents and guardians download this app so the administration and teachers can communicate with us. However, when the administration sends messages to me, the App does not alert me that I have a new messages. As a user, I have made certain that my phone software is updated, the App software is updated, and that the settings are enabled for the App to send notifications that new messages are awaiting my review on the phone. However, the App still does not send notifications of new messages. I am more than disappointed that alerts between teachers and myself, concerning my child, sit and wait on the platform for me to randomly check for their existence. I cannot depend on this App to properly notify me that teachers are waiting on my response to matters concerning my child who has health diagnoses that may require a timely response. As a new user, this experience has been EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTING. Support always says “it’s a known issue” and to try uninstalling and reinstalling. Did that. Still can’t see the message. Ugh!! ### 1/5 — I hate that my school uses this!! *2023-12-13* Apparently messages have been sent for years to the parents in the classes my son has been in but we were not apart of because on Snaps janky set up. Things are not organized to find the people you need and when people decide to protect their identity, you can’t figure out who in the in the class to send the messages to. This is not a direct way to send messages as it lumps the whole school together without a way to filter who is in the kids home room. Very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Unusable *2023-12-08* Do the developers of this app believe that everyone uses phablets? Some of the text in the UI is only 1.5 millimeters tall. The rest is more like 2. There is no way to change this. Not being able to read text is kind of a killer problem in an app whose only job is to deliver text for people to read. ### 1/5 — Horrible app *2023-10-05* My children’s school decided to use this as a better way to communicate from staff to parents. Unfortunately, this app has given me nothing but added frustration. First, as many have said the notifications don’t work. I’ve set my phone to have notification alerts but they never show up. Unless I go into the app and come out do they then pop up. Once I go in and read the notices the app will still display I have notifications. There are times when I send massages to teachers and they never received it or received it days later. Some teachers reverted back to email instead of using this app. On the parent end, I too don’t always receive messages from teachers when I should. There are times if I go into the app and try to go back and reread something, the app will lock up and not let me back in. I make sure the app is always updated. There are many times I have to power off my phone to get back into the app. If it wasn’t for the school using this format I would never use or recommend this app. ### 1/5 — False Alerts/lag in displaying updates *2023-05-19, version 6.1.11* The app was supposed to have received an update a few months back to fix the issues w/delay in displaying updates. Here I was, thinking I would have to log out and log in to see the different feeds since they’re at different schools, but they fixed it for me in one afternoon. I can quickly and easily find contact information for the parents of my son's classmates on my iPhone without having to call my wife and ask her to look in the paper directory. I also like how I can control which contact information about my family is made available via the app. Nicely done. ### 5/5 — Finally! *2013-11-14, version 1.2.3* I can't remember how many timesI've been out in my car and realized I didn't have the home phone number or cell phone or address of where I needed to pick up my kids. Or the contact info for someone in a school committee. I used to but an extra school directory very year and keep it in my car just to avoid this. But with school cnxt all that info (and more) is at my fingertips all the time - whenever and wherever I need it! My son's entire school directory in in my smart phone - home phone numbers, addresses, both parents' cell numbers. And what is just an added bonus is that tapping contact info allows you to immediately text, email or call whoever you are looking for, or get instantly get directions to their house if you remember once you are already on your way. Honestly I use this app at least once daily! Love it! ### 4/5 — PLEASE add a search function *2024-09-10* This app is fine, it serves its purpose for school communication in one location. But PLEASE for the love of god add a search function!
