### 3/5 — Quite good when it works, but stops with no good reason

*2026-08-20, version 2.13.3*

I only use this for sending GPS position to the camera via BT. When it works properly, it puts the GPS location in the photos… BUT, and it’s a big but, it stops working with no apparent reason saying that it will restart after the app is restarted… great! My photos then end up with an incorrect position. My thoughts are to have it connect reliably whenever the camera is found and to be able to set a threshold for movement from the last sent (and received) position (e.g., If my position changes by more than 20 m or what threshold I set, resend the position to the camera) and a time-based refresh, e.g., every 10 minutes to keep the camera up-to-date. That should save a lot of battery. If I set the distance to 0 m and the time to 0 s, that would be continuous updates, but for me 0 m and 1 s would be suitably continuous given the accuracy of GPS. But please, STOP IT FROM STOPPING FIRST!

### 4/5 — 4/5

*2026-08-16, version 2.13.3*

A little slow sometimes.

### 2/5 — Looses connection easily

*2026-08-13, version 2.13.3*

Also kinda wonky.

### 1/5 — Zero stars should be a choice

*2026-08-13, version 2.13.3*

Does not pair with device: "unsuccessful pairing" six times. After 10 years, it should connect, and geotag my images without problems. I took photos in Sicily. Then took an overnight Ferry to North Africa. Snapbridge tagged my images from Sicily as the middle of the Mediterranean Ocean.

### 1/5 — Awful useless rubbish

*2026-08-12, version 2.13.3*

Useless app, wifi never connects to camera, constantly having to reconnect camera with app, utter garbage, just like most things corporate, a race to the bottom, shameful

### 1/5 — Terrible app sooo bad. world’s worst app. agghhh

*2026-08-11, version 2.13.3*

I’ve used this app for several years and it hasn’t improved. just so difficult and unreliable. i’ve bought a remote to operate my camera rather than this useless app. kinda defeats the point. i hate this god dam app. it is so unreliable. aghhhh. Nikon don’t care . can i leave a minus review. not that it deserves it or that Nikon listens .

### 2/5 — Still needs updates!!

*2026-08-11, version 2.13.3*

USA users can’t even select mm/dd for date appearances. No way to nickname paired cameras and smaller font size serial numbers is a very poor way to identify the correct camera to switch to. Switching to Z9 is especially bad/slow. Needs more resolution options. D500 is too small. Z9 options are too small or too large.

After 10 years it should be better and those responsible for the app should be much more responsive and react to problems faster.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-08-10, version 2.13.3*

Most inconvenient app EVER. Doesnt even allow you to connect

### 1/5 — Won’t connect to iPhone or iPad

*2026-08-10, version 2.13.3*

Terrible! Please update app!!

### 1/5 — سي جدااا ويعلق

### 1/5 — Terrible app sooo bad

### 1/5 — Ugh

*2026-08-08, version 2.13.3*

This is the most frustrating app ever created! Congrats on that Nikon. Save your sanity and buy a card reader!

### 1/5 — Absolutely rubbish

*2026-08-08, version 2.13.3*

All worked fine the first time I used it. Now it just won’t work. Nothing has changed yet it will not connect via WiFi. Tried absolutely everything including a complete reinstall.

### 1/5 — Never connects properly

*2026-08-05, version 2.13.3*

The only way to reliably get photos off the camera is to remove the sd card and stick it in a computer. Fuji, Nikon, Leica, none of them work properly. Why?

### 1/5 — Canada

*2026-08-05, version 2.13.3*

Awful

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2026-08-01, version 2.13.3*

I specifically bought a Nikon P950 since I’d had great results with a previous Coolpix. I was supposed to be able to download pictures with this app. It’s worked for me twice. Out of ten attempts. I get so mad my wife makes me put the camera down. Lousy instructions to boot.

### 1/5 — Hard to believe it's from Nikon

*2026-07-30, version 2.13.3*

This is easily the most frustrating app I have ever downloaded. I had problems connecting it with my Nikon P 1100. It would work fine for a few days and then just all of a sudden not connect. I tried everything looked everywhere just when I would think I had a solution that would do it again. Well today I took delivery of my new Nikon Z8 and I thought well this is the top line camera surely Nikon will have this app working with it! No same difficulties connected once downloaded some photos could never connect again deleted the app reloaded deleted the Bluetooth connection reloaded. I give up this time I deleted the app for good would be nice to have an easy connection to the smartphone to email photos but this isn't worth the aggravation.

### 1/5 — Terrible.

*2026-07-28, version 2.13.3*

The least user friendly app in history. It never worked the same way twice until it did’t work at all. Has major connection issues defeating the entire purpose of the app.

### 1/5 — Buggy, strips metadata

*2026-07-28, version 2.13.3*

Buggy, slow, and strips the metadata like shutter count for no reason. I don't understand why Nikon makes it so difficult to view/transfer files.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Used to be good, now not so much

*2026-08-24, version 2.13.3*

This app used to work okay with my Z6 II, but these days it constantly drops the WiFi, drops Bluetooth, doesn’t play nice with the Photo Library, absolutely kills the phone battery, and in general is just plain bad. Bummer. If I want to share photos when out and about, I have to use my other camera which just works.

### 1/5 — App Sucks!

*2026-08-23, version 2.13.3*

App Sucks, my Nikon COOLPIX B500 won’t connect to my phone. I have tired everything, including the online help guide it gives you. But nothing, the camera won’t link in the app at all.

### 1/5 — Works, but ….

*2026-08-23, version 2.13.3*

While SnapBridge does what it claims, it is an absolute dog to work with on an iPad as you are stuck in portrait mode. Having to rotate a pad with external keyboard is such a pain that I download images and then work with other apps.

### 1/5 — This app used to be great

*2026-08-21, version 2.13.3*

As of late, I am very frustrated trying to down load photos from my camera.
It seems the app is not recognizing my camera.
I have deleted and reinstalled following the steps with success then the next time I want to down load the app will not pair with my camera.
What was not broke, someone has messed it up!!

### 1/5 — Can not connect.

*2026-08-21, version 2.13.3*

Not worth the frustration. Would not connect, either by Bluetooth or WiFi. Was not user error. When it did finally connect via WiFi, if snapbridge went to sleep, game over.

### 1/5 — Practically Useless

*2026-08-20, version 2.13.3*

Extremely lacking in what you can control. Can’t even change camera settings like multiple exposure. Latency is so bad that most shots ends up out of focus. Shutter button often doesn’t work. You’re better off finding another solution. I found a third party app that does more than this one!

### 1/5 — Bluetooth or Wifi

*2026-08-17, version 2.13.3*

Neither will connect absolutely refuses to connect

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2026-08-17, version 2.13.3*

Always having to delete and re-download app!!! I’m so sick of this!!!

### 1/5 — Really lacking

*2026-08-16, version 2.13.3*

To note: I use the wifi connection to transfer photos to my iPhone via the app.
Connection is difficult to sustain, constantly dropping. Transfers take forever and will time out. To add: you may not do anything other than transfer, or the connection absolutely drops with an “error” code. I’m looking into other ways to transfer from my z6, because this is certainly not the way to go.

### 1/5 — Une vraie douleur

*2026-08-16, version 2.13.3*

Urgent !!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2026-08-11, version 2.13.3*

So easy to use and photos at your fingertips.

### 5/5 — Great When it Works

*2026-06-24, version 2.13.3*

I love automatic transfer of photos to my iOS device. HOWEVER, establishing the connection can be infuriating and my Z8 does not appear to like connecting with more than one device. Great feature that can be significantly improved.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2026-06-07, version 2.13.3*

Lovely integration between my Z30 and my iPhone, I just wish a faster download when the apps is in the background

### 5/5 — Génial de pouvoir récupérer ses photos

*2026-05-31*

### 5/5 — New camera

*2026-05-21, version 2.13.3*

Use the app for first time very easy too use thank you Nikon

### 5/5 — Addictif

*2026-05-16*

Vraiment l’application qui est un vrai plus pour partager nos photos en quelques minutes seulement avec les invités de l’événement ou sur notre profil réseau.

### 5/5 — Awesome!!!

*2026-04-20, version 2.13.3*

Great app! Very easy and fast

### 5/5 — Snappy

*2026-03-28, version 2.13.3*

Easy to use great results

### 5/5 — Simplicity

*2026-03-14, version 2.13.3*

The WIFI and Bluetooth cone to is simply beautiful and convenient. The remote tigger is such an awesome feature and this application has made my downloads much easier since purchasing a D85 0✌️🇦🇺

### 5/5 — Easy to explore Photographic roll

*2026-03-14, version 2.13.3*

I like this app to see my photos, easy to share and save my photos from my Nikon Z50 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
