Tried across different times and days. It worked before but now it is asking me to sign up and says my password is not valid and then when you redo the password it says that is the last password I had but still will not let you establish an account. ### 2/5 — SnapECG *2020-05-14, version 2.2.4* The software need improvements on changing measurements from metric. The personal information should be stored for reports. The app switches to a back ground page after about 15 seconds while trying to use it. It would be a 5-Star app if these could be corrected. ### 1/5 — Barely ever works *2020-05-07, version 2.2.4* Developers for some dumb reason made the app constantly phone home to their servers and require a login. When I purchased the device you could optionally create an account, but it was not required. I didn’t want or need one. After several updates, you cannot use the device at all unless you create an account. What a scam. This device when I purchased it was over $100 dollars. Now it’s a piece of junk. What a waste. I’ve tried so many times, but the app won’t even let me make an account so I can try and use it. I’ve tried all kinds of ways to get it to work and it just won’t. I had to replace my iPhone and in doing so I can no longer login. I asked several times for a code that was required to get a new password. I did a cut and paste and was told several times that there was an error in the number and then finally once I got to the point of setting up a new password but it wouldn’t let me connect my new password which consisted of several letters, several numbers and one (or two depending on which effort I was putting out) special characters and then it would always say very quickly (i could hardly read the notice it was so fast) 6 to 20 letters and numbers mixed is required. I did all that over and over. I give up!!! I’ve had this device about 4 years and — apart from renewing battery cell regularly — I’ve had no problems whatsoever. I use it both with index fingers and also using strap, to hold on the device, when taking recording over the heart itself. I understand people concerned about why we need an account to use it, but not being a celebrity or politician I figure there isn’t much harm in the account. I feel the app could be improved by things like showing connection status, allowing it to default to last selected monitor type, and more detail on the results, but at least for me it works. If you have chest pain and can see your heart is OK; it really helps give piece of mind. ### 3/5 — Security needs improving *2019-10-29, version 2.2.2* Previously one could use the ECG directly without registering but now it forces registration and log in before allowing ECG to be taken. Secondly, at the very start, the app forces us to accept or reject terms and condition at the start without actually showing ANY terms and condition! Thirdly, when typing the password to register, the password is fully visible rather than been hidden with asterisk like *****. This is not good programming practice and probably the password is not encrypted either. These issues need to be addressed as a matter of priority to avoid another data breech. When you press the get code button or login button it says “network error”. How can they fix this? Why can they not login or is there a way to bypass the user account? ### 2/5 — Stopped working *2025-06-25, version 2.3.2* Until this week the device has worked well. Now I keep getting Network Error despite the fact that all other apps and devices work fine. Trued clearing cache, changing battery, restarting phone and iPad and internet hub to see if that sorted it but still Network error. As a last resort I uninstalled the app (big mistake) Now wants me to log on (big mistake) I put in my email address but since its been years since I set things up I forgot password so clicked on that link and again Network error. Tried to register using different email address but still got Network error. When I try clicking on app support in App Store it opens aa browser page which remains blank (all other websites show up without any issues. I can only assume that the app us no longer being monitored and is out of date or my device has gone to the device graveyard. Have now purchased another device by different manufacturer and is recognised by the NHS which works without problems. Network error must be at SnapECG END. ### 2/5 — SnapECG is unusable *2023-03-12, version 2.3.2* Bought this recently but returned it within 3 days because I was unable to get their verification code. I was also unable to connect to its Bluetooth.
