### 4/5 — Love it

*2023-01-02, version 1.13.0*

It’s a great general habit tracker.

Beggars can’t be choosers and this app does what I need it to, however, it would be perfect if there were daily “sub-habits” to track and a way to track things monthly.

### 4/5 — Snap Habit

*2022-07-01, version 1.13.0*

I overall like the app. I wish you could amend habits rather than archiving them. Including accountability partners and friends is possible with this app!

### 4/5 — It Just Works

*2022-01-21, version 1.13.0*

The just works. The interface is not intuitive. But after a couple of weeks I know how to get things done fast. The fact that it's free, social, and you can add unlimited habits more than makes up for the clunky user interface.

### 4/5 — SnapHabit

*2022-01-10, version 1.13.0*

I picked this app up after reading the guardian article. It’s brilliant. For. Years I’ve tried writing goals and keeping notes. I’ve even created my own tables to check progress but they’ve never had this impact. I’ve been adding habits and measuring progress for ten days now 😊😊OM

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2021-07-05, version 1.13.0*

It’s so motivating to check things off and track! I wish they had a group chat feature, but hopefully in the future!

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2021-06-01, version 1.13.0*

Been looking for something like this for a while. Easy to set up and fun to use.

### 4/5 — Simple but no growth

*2021-04-29*

This is simple and best as a free app for friend accountability. However, it’s quite evident that the founders and team are not investing in this anymore so take that in consideration and if it’s worth having another app for this. In the spirit of building habits, this is a good tool to checkmark progress and to see how friends are doing. The default profile pics are awful. There’s opportunity to grow this app, so I hope the team sells it or prioritize it more.

**Developer response:** Hi - thanks for the detailed feedback. Our aim was to make it the best app for friend accountability, so glad it is meeting that for you!

Our main priority has just been to keep things up and running. If you're interesting in helping or have some growth ideas, shoot me an email at jake@snaphabit.app.

### 5/5 — Best habit app

*2021-04-22, version 1.13.0*

I’ve tried a few and never been able to stick with them but this one is awesome!! I love the ability to connect with friends and send motivation

### 5/5 — helpful!

*2021-04-08, version 1.13.0*

love it! would be great if it could show a year overview of our habits! ie. % of times we did a habit throughout the whole year, and other periods of time

### 4/5 — Overall LOVE IT

*2021-01-14, version 1.13.0*

The only thing I would like to change is for there to be a way to make a group chat with the people in your shared habit. It could also be a bit more user friendly, figuring out simple things like how to delete a habit takes far too many steps.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2021-01-08, version 1.13.0*

I love the satisfaction of filling my green squares, sending/receiving support from friends and the options in this app!

### 5/5 — New to this App but Pretty Cool so Far

*2020-11-18, version 1.13.0*

I’m someone who’s noticeably inconsistent with life in general but I love competition. Hoping this helps for the rest of 2020 and onwards.

This has a really easy interface to update progress and encourage friends to keep the habit “streaks” up.

Would love to see this app add summary emails comparing habit progress among friends and just individually (kinda like Spotify sends a year end summary).

Also if this app was also integrated with other apps (screen time, strava, google sheets), that would be dope.

### 5/5 — One of my essential apps

*2020-09-16, version 1.13.0*

I love this app, It’s one of my essential everyday apps to make sure that all the tasks I have set for myself either daily or scheduled have been completed. It’s straight forward, easy to use and free! It’s made a difference in my life so I highly recommend this app for everyone from children to adults.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — So much potential

*2022-07-12*

I really wanted to like this app! For friends wanted to work together and SnapHabit theoretically gives you the opportunity to establish a group challenge for all the members of the group report in the same grid, very motivating. Alas, the app is very difficult to use. Even just inviting friends and connecting them to the habit we established is proving challenging. And don’t even think about editing the title of the habit once it’s been established, no can do. I have used HabitShare in the past which works beautifully, just doesn’t have the group/grad option but I think will be going back to that so we have something that works

### 1/5 — Complete waste of time

*2020-07-27, version 1.13.0*

After testing it for over a month, I haven’t accomplished a single thing. It’s just a waste of time.

### 2/5 — The woke habit tracker

*2023-05-05, version 1.13.0*

As soon as you open this thing, it hits you with a nagging ad for "anti-racist allyship." So if your idea of tracking habits is to get hit every day with the developer's political fixations, this app is for you. But if you want to track your habits without having to deal with their political fixations, I'd try Way of Life.

### 2/5 — Having Trouble with Reminders

*2022-08-14*

I really like the app, its easy to use and I like the tracking and customization of the habits. However, I just can‘t get the reminders to work and show up as notifications on my phone. For reference, I dont share and all my habits are private. I set reminders for all, and since I have ADHD, I really need the notifications to work for an app like this to be functional. I deleted and reinstalled the app, even backed up and restored my phone. I did a test with other apps and the notifications were working, and obviously have all notifications turned on in settings for the app. Unfortunately if I cant get the notifications to work for the reminders I‘ll probably delete the app. Hopefully I can figure it out as I couldnt find any way to contact support.

### 2/5 — Irritated in the first 5 minutes

*2020-08-08*

Almost every part of the UI was counter-intuitive, annoying, or buggy. If this is a hobby-made app, good job on the effort of making the app (it’s extensive and fully built out), but if you want this app to be something useable, invest some time into learning user experience best practices.

A list of things off the top of my head that I didn’t like within the first few minutes:
- Couldn’t find the add new task button easily
- Add new task button disappears when you scroll down on first page
- Having the journeys take up most of the first page is annoying
- incessant prompts to invite others or to link to social media
- starts out with preset habits
- it’s too hard to delete habits
- seriously, it’s like every button tap results in a prompt to invite people, each time that prompt comes up I want to invite people less and delete the app more
- prompting user to take a note EVERY time they skipped a day is really annoying
- buttons on the top right of the habit details page flip back-and-forth sporadically

The list goes on. Even just one of these would make me want to delete the app, but there are soo many issues.

It’s probably apparent that I’m annoyed, but hopefully this is useful to the devs.

**Developer response:** Still a WIP - but wanted to update as some fixes are already in (2 were in flight!)
- Add a new task button does not disappear on scroll
- Made easier to delete habits
- Removed some of friend prompts
- No more sporadic button flipping

Hello! I really appreciate you taking the time to lead such detailed feedback, it definitely helps us - and I'm sorry you had a poor experience!

1) I'm working on several of these things right now actually (new task button, flipping headers, removing invite prompts), and added several to my list. I'll follow up when these are done.
2) There are a lot of awesome habit apps on the App Store - and we're trying to add something new with journeys and groups/friends - so we definitely want to encourage those behaviors - but are still trying to find the right balance of how much to promote them.

Thanks again for giving it a shot, and the detailed feedback!

### 3/5 — Not very intuitive

*2020-12-06, version 1.13.0*

Frustrating as it’s not very intuitive and easy to use

### 3/5 — Great for keeping me accountable

*2020-06-29*

I’ve used other productivity apps im the past, but so far Snaphabit seems to be the most effective.

The clean interface makes it extreme straightforward to track my habits and log my progress. The standout feature for me however, is being able to share habits with my friends. I love being able to share my progress and also share encouragment with friends pursuing the same goals. Snaphabit has definitely been a welcome addition to my daily routine!

### 4/5 — Can’t see profile pictures

*2025-05-13, version 1.13.0*

Great app but not everyone’s profile picture appears for everyone else. Makes it really confusing to track habits.

### 4/5 — Really Cool! But Buggy

*2023-09-21*

We have a six-month group goal that sometimes includes as many as 20 people. This app is awesome for all of us being able to see each other’s progress on a single daily goal. That’s why we use it. However, over time we can’t see each other’s green boxes, only notes and dots. And when a person wants to leave the goal they’re frozen in the goal list until the whole thing is deleted. It seems impossible to edit the habit once it has begun.

This app still seems to be best way to have group accountability, but it seems to stay really buggy and I have to do a lot of explaining on how to work around the issues with our participants.

### 4/5 — It should work without wifi or data

*2023-01-14, version 1.13.0*

It would be 5 stars if it had: dark mode, and function without wifi/data also notifications not working for me

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — It is a great app!

*2025-03-22, version 1.13.0*

I am so happy to have found this app where we can achieve a better and more disciplined version of ourselves. I love the chat and the shared habits. The graph (visual aid) to see the progress in a quantifiable way is a plus!

### 5/5 — Best app for accountability

*2024-02-24, version 1.13.0*

Was looking for something like this for a long time. Friends and I are becoming closed with shared habits. 5 stars isn’t enough

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2022-09-14, version 1.13.0*

This app is really easy to use! I love it. It would be helpful to have a more open platform, maybe have a tab for people nearby with similar goals to have more accountability.
And I love the pre-made goals and I would love more!!

### 5/5 — Great productivity tool

*2022-08-28, version 1.13.0*

SnapHabit helps me take control of my time and be more productive by being intentional.

### 5/5 — Love this app a lot!

*2022-01-20, version 1.13.0*

It’s so easy to track habits and I love the note feature that keeps me on track with my focus each day

### 5/5 — Best habit app! Great UI! Motivating! Free!

*2022-01-08, version 1.13.0*

Tried so many habit apps. Habitshare is an all free, no ads, full featured habit tracking app. Can be used to keep up with family to make sure they are feeling well each day or to ensure team members are doing their practice. Can be used to make sure you don’t forget to brush your teeth and take care of what’s important every day.

### 5/5 — Great Motivator

*2022-01-05, version 1.13.0*

My 2 friends and I use this as a way to keep each other motivated on our fitness goals. I love how simple it is to use and that it’s free with no hidden fees.

### 5/5 — Awesome app for tracking Habits with friends

*2022-01-04, version 1.13.0*

I love this app for tracking habits I’m trying to build. Currently running a meditation challenge in Jan with 4 friends and it’s great for motivation and encouragement!

### 5/5 — The best.

*2021-09-28, version 1.13.0*

I searched far and wide for a habits app that I actually liked - and this one is by far the best.

### 5/5 — Love this free app!

*2021-07-30*

Great habit-tracking app! So helpful in holding myself accountable! Simple interface and very easy to use. Love that I can track so many habits for free!!! If I could make one change, it would be to make it possible to view statistical data for how successful I am at each maintaining each habit.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the kind review and detailed feedback. What sort of data would be most interesting to you? We're at j@snaphabit.app.
